I just read all the articles from Tuttosport. There isn't a less reliable newspaper but it was a good read nevertheless

1. Our first choice for attack remains Amauri. We have Chelsea and Milan as our rivals but the good raport we have with Zamparini is our advantage.
Elmander is another one our directors want. In 12 months he can use the FIFA article 17 and leave his team for a minimum fee. Elmander is represented by the same agent with Mellberg.

2. Our dream signing is Aguero. The main reason why Tuttosport think we can get him is Tiago and his eventual transfer to Atletiko.
There is also one part i don't understand, including IMG, Aguero and Sissoko.

3. For the midfield they say we gave up on Diego. Economically we can't afford him and Ranieri doesn't want him because he won't suit the 4-4-2 and we'll have to risk one of Camoranesi/Del Piero in order to find space for Diego :shifty:
But we're interested in Hamsik and Maxi Rodriguez. According to Tuttosport it's a one horse race and we have huge advantage over the other teams to buy Hamsik.
Ranieri's dream signing would be Aquilani but our chances are very slim to beat Inter for his signature.
The Czech starlet Kalouda is someone we don't want to miss, especially after we've seen what happened with Fenin.
The new name is Maxi from Atletico and he could join in a direct swap deal with Tiago.

4. We're after fullbacks also. Zebina-De Ceglie will most probably take the back sides next season but Inter and Milan are very much interested in De Ceglie and we may even lose him to one of the Milan based sides.
Clerc and Burdisso , and especially Vargas could become Juve players if we fail to bring De Ceglie back.

Too Good To be true , Pinch me , especially for the Aguerro part and too lame for the Possibilities we might lose De Ceglie , ask Elvin :(

for Maxi , that would be a good solution for our shitty Crossing problem , we should try something new like Kalouda and hey guys don't forget about Ekdal , I hope we give him a chance to shine next season alongside with our back from loan Youngster not give him on loan to Siena or Empoli :faq1:

Diego and VDV saga , Too comical i have to say :lameboard:

It's from today's Tuttosport. I can't give you a link, you'll have to register there.
Here it is copy/pasted:

It says that Aguero and Sissoko are connected to IMG in some way or another, and eventually negotiations could start, because of this link between the two. Basically, the link means that Aguero is more that just a target, because negotiations will be easy to do with him.

The only good thing to emerge from this season's incosistent performances will be the board's realization that the time has come to enter the market in a big way to make the dramatic signings we yearn for. We should be negoatiating aggressively in March as our top 4 finish in Serie A becomes almost a reality

We missed out on Ribery last summer. This was a bad mistake. Hamsik must be the player that comes in, irrespective of whether Neddy stays on another season.

The forwards situation is more problematic. Nevertheless, the defence is an area needing special attention.

We must sign a top class back 4 player to work alongside Chiellini and Mellberg.

Needless to say, the need to start putting together a run of victories to strengthen our Champions League challenge, will have an enormous impact on the desirability of playing in our colours next season in the eyes of potential targets.

The mere thought of another poor summer transfer campaign makes my heart sink.

If Ranieri keeps up with yesterday's formation, I'd go for Hamsik. He'd fit in that midfield perfectly:

    Camoranesi(Marchisio) - Zanetti(sissoko) - Nedved/Hamsik
    ----------------------------Del Piero/Giovinco
    -----------------------Trezeguet - Iaquinta(DP/Gio)

    :)

Sounds promising indeed. And he`d come cheapest we could get since we would offer like 11mln +/- and some players (Blasi,Zalayeta). But since we`re going to sign probably just one player in middle this summer I am not so sure who would I sign between Hamsik,Diego and VDV.

I will be happy with either of them.

With Secco in the helm and Ranieri preferring a 'Box-to-Box' player, we might end up with neither of them .....

tbh i think i'd take hamsik over vdv. diego is another question but considering price/age/serie-a-experience, i think hamsik will be the better deal. Plus, with the likes of zalayeta & blasi going the other way, i think this is possible. napoli are not in the position to keep players like hamsik forever. if a good deal comes, they'll accept it
