How would you work your chest with only one dumbell?

Did some hardcore cardio today. Dear lord I'm unfit.
Perhaps he meant barbell, not dumbell. :p Or he has push-up for chest.

Come to think about it, gives us your workout, Dule. I'm really interested what exercises you do.
No, I meant dumbell actually. I do chest with push-ups and it's good, my chest are pretty big now so I don't actually need 2 dumbells..

Not many really, it's not like I have a choice. Of the top of my head

crunches (so many different ones), push ups (so many as well), one-arm dumbbell rows, shoulder press, lateral raises (rarely), dumbbell/concentration curls, hammer curls, triceps presses, triceps kickbacks, bench dips...

I rotate a couple and then change. I use cables as well sometimes for new exercises.

Squats with dumbell. How does that work exactly? :D

But seriously, body weight exercises are good and you can actually do a lot with just a dumbell, but how will you progress? That way you'll hit a plateau pretty quick, your muscles will get accustomed to the same exercises and weights, you're gonna need to force them with something harder. For example one doesn't need to do over 30 push-ups, anything over is just gaining endurance, not muscle growth. How do you expect to overcome that?

But all that aside, you really should get at least one more dumbell next. You can do a LOT more with two dumbells. Than in the future a barbell would do you wonders...squats, overhead press, deadlifts, etc.

Ah, you know...

I have 3 dumbells actually. 2x 10gkg and one 15kg.

I do all kind of stuff, there are so many different push-ups you can do and I still find it hard to do some (dignem noge na nesto visoko i radim uske sklekove...to me kida, a radim ledja, grudi i triceps. Ima mnogo vezbi koje su teske, a pauze su mi bitne, sto manje to bolje, teze, i ide...). You can't really overcome, it's just slower than going to the gym but it's going. I like it at least. My friend goes to the gym and I wouldn't even say while I'm the "huge one".

Ah, now, you didn't say you had more dumbells.

Well that's where genetics come in. People are different, you probably have good genetics and your friend doesn't. You'll need less work, while he'll need a lot more. Now just imagine what you could achieve if you went to the gym. :p I'm joking you go your way, if it works and you're satisfied that's what matters.

Yeah I'm very satisfied plus I'm kind lazy, even though I like to workout I'd find it hard to go to some gym. :)

I'm to prove people, why they think it's not possible to do that. Well let's see. I need time till the next summer.

I'm an idiot:

After not doing lower-body work-out in a long ass time...and I mean months (and even then it wasn't as intense) I went in and leg pressed 540 lbs. It's only been 6hrs and my legs already feel like a truck just ran over them.

LOL, how many reps did you do? That was a lot of weight. I don't do leg press since I started squatting but when I did, I think the last weight I did was around 170-180kg.

I can do that, but its not really productive with the exertion, clearly you are an Adonis

Squattin around 145-150kg or 330 pounds.

I did three sets of ten on there. Started with 360, then 450, and finished with 540lbs.

Thing is I go with my cousin and he's been working out for a while now; he's a pretty big guy. Sometimes it's too much effort to keep putting/taking off the weights (in between sets) so I try to do whatever he does first. My legs are apparently pretty strong. But I really shouldn't have done that much right away; easing into it would have been much better because I'm pretty sure I'll be walking like I've been popped in the ass over the next few days :p

Though leg press is probably one of the easier exercises, that is a lot of weight. :D

I know what you mean with putting/taking of weight, that's why I switched to squats. Half times the weight, 3 times the effect.

I can do that but it takes so much effort its not the best thing for my muscles
I didn't get the "You're an Adonis part". Whas that aimed at Tahir or me? Because I didn't leg press 245kg. :p

Indeed. Though I've discovered, bench press with dumbells is a hell of a lot more effective. At least for me.

As for squats, I don't think I'll ever be able to do 1.5 my bodyweight. I'm doing just above my weight currently, around 90kg, and that completely exhausts me. Though in my defense, I only started squatting around month and half ago.

I use a squat machine that incorparate your body weight into the squat :scarf:
