No gym here. :D Everybody say how you can't do much at home and how you have to go to the gym. Well, I want to prove them wrong, without taking any supplements.

I just started (2 days ago) doing cardio as well.
I'm with you Dule, I haven't taken anything in my around 4 months since I've been hitting the gym.

As for working out at home, I honestly believe you can do a lot of good work but it's repetitive and boring. In the gym you meet people, you work on various equipment and each new exercise is a new and fun experience. I'm speaking from personal experience as I myself first started at home, but I can safely say I've done more work in these 4 months than in close to a year working out at home. But each individual is different, perhaps your genetics is so good, you'll have amazing progress just working out at home. Try it, but don't cross out the gym, it's really fun.

I know alot about supplements and nutrition (at least that's what I think) but what I asked you is sci-mentor good brand, cuz here they say it's best. They produce all kinds of whey protein, aminos, glutamine, everything for bodybuilders and athletes. From what I saw they are major sponsor for Rugby league in Britain I think. You know I don't have too much confidence to a guy who sell those supplements and moderate forum where you can't say thing against any supplement that he sell.

I already bought Whey excel and Mass gainer from sci-mentor to try (still not taking it), but I just want confirmation from someone are those quality supplements.
I just asked my personal trainer and he says the positive effect isn't really noticable at all from any of those products, the only one he endorses and i can endorse (helped me double the size of most muscle grouping) is Body Fortress, I believe they do creatine aswell.

The quality will depend, if you payed over 40euro per kilogram then you got ripped off, all of them are pretty much the same quality.

I've been training at gym for a long time, but than I decided to start train at home. Positive things at gym are various of equipment and you are able to different excersises for same muscle group, I mean at home you can't always perform or is harder to performe some excercise.

Negative things are that is harder to make yourself go accross the town to lift weights, peaople and how everyone is doing more talk and less working out (especially if you go to gym like I did), you can't always train what you want couse someone is already is working out at that machine etc...

When I train I like to concretate and focus and not talk with anyone, that I train better and faster. I trained at home for a couple of months before I made a break, and I must say that in my case I had same or even better results than I had at gym. Ofcourse results and the way of training depends from men to men.

Actually I paid 65€ for 2,25kgs

Then you don't have proper freaks in your gym. :p
Guy owes the gym and he's really huge. :D No but really, he said it's all chemical stuff and it'd be better if I do it on my own but also harder.

Yeah I know what you guys mean.

I think I'd have more muscles if I spent all the time in the gym but I don't know, maybe I'm stubborn but I don't want to go there (yet). It's true it becomes repetitive and less fun but once you get used to it you don't pay much attention to it, you change a couple of things and it gets better.

On the other side I also focus better and work harder when I don't talk to anyone and in fact when I workout I really like to be alone, but it's probably just me. I think it can be hard when you workout at home cause you can't hit all the muscles so easy but it just makes it more interesting for me, I want to do it on my own.

So far so good, I have added muscles and people don't really believe me when I say my weight which I find funny lol. I have just 70kg so they find it weird, but I'd like to gain at least 6 more kgs to add more mass. I'm having a hard time to gain it, it's really, really slow because of my metabolism. I've been thinking to start using Whey Protein but I changed my mind, it will all come eventually. Now I'm starting to focus on cardio as well but I hate it since I'm not in shape. Lower abs are the hardest part for me so far.. hard to do it without going to the gym so I had to add running, to burn more fat.

So most of us are lone-wolf exercisers eh?

Good Stuff

Question: On a day off, no work, no college etc. do you guys go to gym presentable i.e. with gel in your hair etc. If you do, you are a Gym-Douche.

Gyming it sohuld never get repretitive, you need to cange the program every 6-8 weeks, beasides home fitness equiptment is a scam
You don't need fitness equipment. All you need is a bench, dumbells, barbell, weights and bar to do pullups. With those you can train every muscle on your body.

Alas I have no space for that, and I also utilize the Rope Machine and the Cable Machine the two greatest fitness machines ever imo which are too big for a home gym

Those two machines are good but not essential. However I said it before home gym have it's advantages but so do real gym and it depends on type of person where to train.

It's not just you, it's everybody. You only get the job when you don't have distractions. When I said meet new people, I didn't meant it as if you sit down and have a chat instead of workout, I meant it as in people who know more than you and you can pick their brain, for tips and ideas.

I honestly can't believe you're just 70kg, that's like skin and bones, man. I have 85kg and still look a little on the skinny side...just goes to show each ones metabolism is a lot different.

Yeah I know what you mean. :) I just want to do it all by myself, well, almost everything. I didn't ask for many opinions but some day they will ask me lol.

Yeah, I get a lot of that...even sometimes I wouldn't believe I have 70kg lol. My back are pretty big and I have muscles, legs aren't thin either. I'd like to see myself with 10 more kilos if I keep it up this way. It should be pretty noticeable I guess. Next summer is mine! :juventus: :D

I think all you need is a 1 dumbbell and a bar to do pullups (which surprisingly I don't even have). It's all you need, the rest is up to you really.

How would you work your chest with only one dumbell?

Did some hardcore cardio today. Dear lord I'm unfit.
