cc: Juventuz.com — seriously don’t post on this site unless you can do five pull-ups. Y’all too comfortable
unless you are climbing a mountain or you are a professional burglar scaling walls there is zero reason anyone needs to do five pullups. at most one is enough. even then in real life 99 percent will never ever need to do a pull up.

Coming from the guy with the Scar avatar for like 2 decades :disagree:. If Mufasa could do a pull up then there would've been no problems.

I do 5 sets of 7-8

Strength isn't really about functionality in daily life when you're in your thirties or forties. It's about preserving your body. The better your muscle to fat ratio, the easier it is to get your metabolism going as well. If you're a man and you can't do five pull ups, something is wrong. And it's probably that you're too fat.

For metabolism it’s better they do 5 sets of squats 5 sets of deadlifts and 5 sets of bench.

those actually get more metabolism going and are functional excercodes.

I can’t do more than 5 but I can bench and squat and row just fine. And my back and biceps are god like. pull-ups are not indication of anything

Unless you a sumo wrestler, those guys are some great athletes who probably can't do a pull-up

They also often die prematurely because of their weight. I'm not trying to take away from anyone who is a bit heavier. Being able to do a pull up doesn't make you a better human being, it often doesn't even make you a better athlete. But if you're male and you can't do a pull up, you're just likely to be a bit too heavy from a health perspective.

Next month I’ll have a period of longer than a month where I won’t be able to go to the gym.

Need you guys to help me find a full body workout which I can to two or three times per week having just 10kg dumbbells and my disposal at home.

Want to do two full body workouts at home during that period, and at least two times boxing as usual

You're just going to have to go with calisthenics like all the strong as hell black people at the park. People get great results with it but God did I hate it during the pandemic.

I'm the gym's best customer. I've never missed a fortnightly payment, I don't use any of the facilities, I've never made a complaint, I just pay the fees and never attend LOL.

I really need to get myself back to the gym 3 times a week...

Most people are like that lol. The entire business model relies on the assumption that 10-15% of people will use the gym on a regular basis and the rest won’t bother to cancel their memberships.
