I wouldn't do it without my PT but I want to do a day of o-lifts once a week to work my explosive power and power lift the rest of the week, I recon it will work alright
It's really not that bad over time. It takes just a few weeks getting used to it.
The worst part of O-lifting is learning to be comfortable pulling heavy weights off the floor with the hook grip. It sucks so bad at first. Thumbs feel terrible.
Thing I really struggle with is pushing my elbows to parallel while still focusing on my squat form and balancing the weight, I think it's why I struggle after 8 reps
One of the researchers at out uni recently posted some findings that show degenerative back issues resulting for high rep o-lifts and highly recommending intervention in cross fit programmes.
