I am honest and I say that the goal for 3-2 should have stood, but the americans are too pround and self centered too see things they should have been punished for.
10 against 11 we would have destroy you, but the way the game went 2-2 is a fair result.
That wasn't even a yellow card foul. Demspey went a little high with the arm, but he beat the player to the ball and didn't make hard contact. The Slovenian player made a meal of it and his team completely overreacted.
Truth of the matter is from the get go, the match was dictated by the USA. Slovenia barely possessed the ball and had to wait for US mistakes to score their two goals. Which were both brilliant.
The main problem for the US was their lack of movement in the first half. No one was running to space and checking to, so the defense and Torres had no one to pass to. Our carelessness on the ball was disgusting at times.
Saying that you would destroy us 10-11 or whatever is ridiculous. You're team's strength is being physical, playing defense, and scoring on the counter. Slovenia don't have the players to pick apart a defense.
This referee was atrocious. The call against Findley was horrible, so now he's out against Algieria. There were several 50-50 balls that were called in Slovenia's favor simply because the Slovenian player needed a good cry and a hand hold from the manager before he could manage to "pick himself up".
Saying the US were cheaters is a dumb thing to say because it's simply not true. It would be better to say we were poor at times in the match, but at times we were very good. The same way I can say Slovenia's midfield was bad, but their defense and forwards were very good. It's what we call a fair take of the match.
