Dossena is a one hit wonder and close to his 30's, Pasqual is a great crosser but sucks defensively, always injured and is invisible most of the game. Vargas is younger than Dossena and an a much better player in general.

Vargas and De Ceglie.
In a perfect world i would prefer Vargas over Grosso as well but i think it would be too expensive and would hamper De Ceglie's long term future at Juve considering Vargas is only 3 years older than him.

Mark, would i be right in assuming that Vargas' price tag would be between 12-15million

10-12? much lower if we throw in some young players on loan/co-own.

true, it could be our advantage because we have numerous young players that Catania would be interested in, i DONT mean marchisio, seba, de ceglie, criscito but rather players like Lanzafame, Venitucci, Piccolo, Blasi, Paolucci & so on.. TBH i think if Catania were smart enough they could drive his price up to the 15mil mark

..

I'd only take Vargas from that list. Though I would much prefer Chiellini playing at the left and bringing in a world class central defender.

Pasqual is overrated. Surely, he's better than Molinaro, but still...

Vargas and De Ceglie.
Where did u hear taht, he is 26...

I know i'll be unpopular with this but for me im not convinced about Pasqual at all and i don't think he is the type of player that would really improve us a whole lot, he sure would be an upgrade over Molinaro tho
I don't agree...He was injured once for a long period of time, but let me remind you of one Zambrotta who came from Bari...
Capello wanted him (Pasqual) 3 years ago... I would prefer Pasqual over Grosso, Dessena nad Vargas...Bring back De Ceglie and you got LB coverd for the CL and scudetto race...But hy that is just my opinion :jvefan:

Fair enough, but why base your opinion on what others have said about him e.g. (capello wanted him) and this may even be incorrect who knows.. How many times have you seen him play and what do you like about his performances that make you so sure? Forgive me if i sound rude, im not trying to..

My choice would be one between Pasqual and Vargas.

The problem is that Pasqual was playing some world class football two seasons ago, he was very good last year but he's having a bad form this year.
So the question is : Is he a one/two season(s) wonder or is this particular season just a bad period for him ?

Vargas is having a terrific year and it's coming after a very good 2006/07 season for him. He's improving all the time and atm he's the best LB in the league.

It's a very hard choice to make but i prefer Vargas.

I won't even consider Dossena and i've never been a fan of Grosso.

I don't base my opinion on Capello hear say, i saw him play and he is very quick, good passer, great crosser, he reminds me of Zambro...He can't do worse in defence that Molinaro...+ he is Italian...He is experianced seria A player...so
