And we paid 90M for him... still cant get grasp why Beppe and Agnelli thought this was a good idea
It was crazy especially considering we really needed reinforcement in midfield.

He was a big help when Napoli took us close and we may not of won the scudetto that season without him or maybe we would of if we had a better midfield. He did help us get to a CL final aswell.

Overall considering his price I would consider it a waste of money.

I don't feel sorry for him either the dudes lazy. With better workrate he could of been a beast for years to come.

In his prime he was a pretty damn good #9. But we never played really to his stength.

Our 3-5-2 was based on crosses and midfielders running in to attack and our 4-2-3-1 was either crossing in the box or long balls to Mandzukic to lay it down for Dybala. Both didnt really suit him at all.

The endless stupid criticism of the Higuain deal. Its a pretty good barometer to posters, see whose opinions aren't worth taking seriously.
If we didn’t sign Ronaldo, which made his position as undisputed starting striker/highest paid player untenable, he’d still be leading the line for us. The criticism of his transfer fee is fine (even tho at the time he was easily a €60-65m striker imo) but to criticise his performances with us (especially his first season) is bordering on retarded. Some posters just have it in for certain players and can’t use logic or reason to form proper opinions.

And to think we actually paid 90 mil for this guy ! Just amazing stuff
It was his release clause. Either we had to pay it or we wouldn’t get him. And a striker of his level at the time - and coming off a record-breaking season - was always going to command a huge transfer fee.

You wanna know something? Without his goals we might not have won Serie A that season or even made the CL final.

oh my bad. Respect
Juventus has been playing like a pussy under Allegri, no one should be surprised with poor goal records of Higuain, Dybala and even Ronaldo had only 21 goals with 5 of them from penalty kicks lol

We score a goal, we sit back and we wait :sergio: and the last when we had a proper counter attacking football it was 14/15 season.
Or if we need a draw, we are gonna sit back and pray that the opposite side won't score :sergio: man how many times Ronaldo was losing his mind this season when he was asking his teammates to start pressing ? And then he was screaming at Allegri because of his unwillingness to do anything  what a fucking shame

Only 70 goals in the serie a, the worst Allegri's record with Juve and he had Ronaldo, Dybala, Mandzukic, Costa, Bernardeschi and Kean

41 goals from open play 59%
15 goals from set pieces 21%
7 goal from penalty kicks 10%
4 own goals 6%
3 counter attacks 4%
Amazing achievement with such a powerful attacking line, yawn

We were a club side in desire of a top level CF. Higgy was the one available (on clause) 2x for being from a direct title rival. Haters fail to recgonize the situation.

Crazy. Gonzalo
