Let's be hypothetical for a moment. We sell Pogba for 120 million. No Higuain. Morata is already gone. Who would you get for the CF position that is attainable, and who would you get for the midfield?

It's a normal deal if people pay 140m for Pogba. I much prefer Pogba over Higuain, but with 36 goals you can't dispute the fact he was easily the more decisive player last season and you get him at 40m less.

Basically what im really trying to get at is that did we really need to make a massive signing (monetrary-wise) or could we have just settled with someone who can just finish well but significantly cheaper, thus giving us a good budget next year. I dont think is only to save face. Its clear that goalscoring CF is our weakness. And i dont agree he was brought to sell shirt sales...i think he was brought to take advantage of how desperate and hungry he is. We are betting in our good atmosphere and organization to make an impression on him, and to make him into our goalscoring machine while taking us to new levels. Pogba sold or not...this kind of forward was necessary for inmediate inpact after losing morata.

Still selling Pogba and getting Higuain doesnt nullify each other. As of today, no matter how we look at it...losing pogba is plain bad. period.
