How much would you think ADL would ask for Cavani from Real or Barca? Not less than 50, surely. Maybe 45.
True, but on the other hand we cannot even come up with 45. IMO it is not that certain, what ADL would do with a concrete offer of 45 from Juve.

Exactly. I'm not saying we can afford Cavani, but to say Higuain > Cavani just because we can't afford the latter isn't logical, and even if Napoli would sell the player to a team outside of Serie A, we still won't afford that fee they would ask for.

As a matter of fact, I believe we can't afford Higuain neither.

Yeah, I agree. To be honest, I believe both could adapt to our system and have a major impact, be it Cavani or Higuain. Higuain would be less "prestressed" though. But as you say, most likely we cannot afford any of the two. Even though Conte wants this clinical top world class striker, I'm not sure we are actually targetting any of the players discussed until now. The whole mercato is a big game of disguise.

As usual we will hope for the sensation in the last hours of the mercato and then complain the whole system being unfair, because the Seria A transfer window closes earlier for foreign players than elsewhere.

We can afford Higuan for sure. We had 30m for Jojo last summer, less than that amount would be enough for Gonzalo. But more importantly, his wages are well within our parameters. Sub 5-6m per year.

You must know more than most of us then.

It's pretty obvious, actually. :)
It would only be obvious if we just intend to buy a top striker this season. No way could we afford a top striker, RW, CB and a LWB.

This is also taking in consideration that we already brought Llorente here.

Higuain >>> cavani

Higuain >>>> Cavani

and yes, cavani would be expensive , plus Higuain is younger therefore better investment
Cavani is about 10 months older

It's not about his worth. Cavani > Higuain.
:agree: Although both are as unrealistic a target as one another, Cavani would be a better all round player. He has more to his game then Gonzalo imo

Llorente coming on a free doesn't mean we won't be in the mercato for another forward, in fact the need is to replace at least 3 forwards, but since that doesn't happen overnight, it's almost a given we'll be upgrading on Vucinic or Giovinco with at least one more.

The RW is contingent on our formation next season. We could spend big on that position if we are moving to the 433, but if not, a chunk of our mercato money would go towards the SS.

Cb and LwB, especially the latter is a position that will be filled by shuffling around team personnel in swap/loan/makeweight deals.

I think we can be almost certain that a top quality SS/RW and fair quality LwB/LB will arrive at the club this summer.

Certain is a word I won't use when it comes to Juve and transfers. You're simply assuming.

Gotta love this time of year, mercato meltdown season that is. Everyone becomes an accountant, transfer guru or raving lunatic for 3/4 months.
