I was naming the ones i've seen playing, hence why Di Stefano wasn't mentioned. To me he's not that good. In any other generation he would be a average striker at best. But this is football today, overpricing and overrating anyone and everyone is part of the beautiful game.
It's okay to admit you're wrong about saying he's "never been that good".

Edit: Just seen the post about him breaking a leg, how adorable.

That's an exaggeration my friend...
He would be in our situation. A young, talented, world class player who doesn't earn 10+mln. There are better players but we can't even dream about them. Lewandowski and Higuain are the best we can get probably when it comes to attackers. We won't get any of them though.

There's nothing to admit, my friend. Higuain sums up what's wrong with football today, where even an average player like Hulk is sold bt an outrageous price. Higuain is nothing but a rich man's Matri.

Joe realized it was a joke, come on...

You wouldn't take him?
Maybe under different circumstances. With Llorente already here, I think it would be a mistake to prioritize a Higuain type signing. He may be able to play on the right and drift wide to create space, but I'd prefer a more naturalized player for that role, IF we are going to sign him and end up trying to fit both in. That apart, I personally think Higuain would suit our game better than Llorente, even though the latter's physicality is something we've missed for a while, since Ibra-Trez played together. I rate Higuain's movement and first touch, but I don't think he's as good as people sometimes make him out to be. In my estimate, Benzema is a better player, as was Milito in his prime.

people considering crapandowski and Higuain are on the same level

Higuain is also better then benzema when played right. for mourinho's real madrid, benzema was better

Nike endorses him. They usually want their endorsees playing in clubs they make kits for. Maybe they can entice him with a signing bonus.

Im not sure if he's compatible with llorente, but his movement and positioning is fantastic. Maybe Conte can find a way to play both together. We have had our eyes on this guy for years, and if the opportunity arrises to sign him for a decent price, say 18-20 million, Marotta would surely consider it.

Higuain was very good on the right of a 4-3-3 under Capello and Schuster, perhaps we should sign him and play him there. My concern with Higuain has always been that he cannot lead the line properly but he could be quite good on the wing, especially since he can cross quite well.

I dare say, you are advocating a 4-3-3 with llorente leading the line, and higuain on the right :O

Why not. Also, Higuain has a solid work rate and would track back.
We probably won't have the funds to improve on Vucinic on the left but we could use Giovinco to rotate with Vucinic, as a position on the LW suits him more.

I want a LB but Peluso could be alright there if we don't have the funds to sign one.

There is no "why not", i agree 100% here.

Just repeat yourself a while with this, so the people in denial can start getting rid of the idea llorente and higuain arent compatible ;)

I keep having this daydream "imagine if we'd get di maria and higuain, and have them join llorente in a 3man frontline.
