I dint give the same argument. I said the 2015-16 squad had more talent than the 14-15 team and I stand by it. I never said last year's team was better than the 14-15 team. When we are approaching towards the end of the season, only then can we form a strong judgement while comparing the squads but as of now, this is still the most stacked roster we've had in the Marotta era.
Regarding our standing in Europe, do you remember at the same point two years ago, we were struggling to get out of a group comprising of Olympiakos and the likes? Heck the tie against Dortmund was even seen as a 50-50 at one point.
We are in a different situation now and certainly the consensus is that we're just below the elite teams and we do have the capability of beating any of them unlike 2014 where we weren't expected to.
In the end , I'm just saying this squad has more talent and potential. We will just have to wait and see instead of giving a judgement midway through the season. It's just my opinion.
IMO we had a better team that year, solely because of our midfield. You need to remember that we struggled that season against olympiakos and the teams before them because we were using 352. The moment allegri switched to 4312 variations, we conquered everyone until getting wrecked by barcelona.

That half season after we switched formations, having Vidal, Pogba, tevez, morata and marchisio delivering the goods....has been the best juve i have seen in the Agnelli era. the Tevez Morata partnership was lethal in europe, and we had great midfielders behind them.

Now we are weaker, even with Higuain...because of our weak midfield.

Haven't you heard, every time we lose or draw we are wrecked. Actually this year even when we win we mostly still get wrecked.
This is probably why the management asked Xavi to meet the players. He knows best how to always rekt your opponent. Even in losses, he always was the deserved winner, and thats something were trying to make our team into. That visits gonna improve the teams mentality a lot imo

This will be great especially for a guy like Khedira who can finally learn how to lose by playing well instead of just always winning.

Marotta confirms Mattia Caldara will sign from Atalanta, but not until 2018.

The Bianconeri are known to be interested in the defender, and have been in contact with the Orobici about signing him.

“We’re at a good point, we’ll make it official in January but the transfer is for 2018,” Marotta told Gazzetta della Sport, before discussing other transfer targets.

“It’s difficult to find players who are at Juve’s level and are available.

“Axel Witsel? It’s currently stalled, his contract expires in June and we’ve got five months to play until then. So the assessment is €1m per month or so.

“As for Steven Nzonzi, there’s a good relationship with Sevilla and there are certain surveys that it’s right to do.

“Mahmoud Dahoud or Julian Draxler? For the first I can say that there are a lot of players we’re paying attention to.

“It’s impossible for the second to come to Juve, because he caused us a lot of trouble with his rejection [in 2015].

“If you reject us once, well, Juve start looking elsewhere.”

The Bianconeri have also been linked with Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, could he arrive in the summer?

“Four or five years ago we couldn’t possible have afforded the fees for [Gonzalo] Higuain and [Miralem] Pjanic, now we can.

“Our firepower has been increased compared to the recent past, thanks to the great work of President Andrea Agnelli and we can make important and significant investments on the playing side.

“We certainly want to keep going down this road.

“Rodriguez? It will depend how our transfer campaign is, the financial balance must always be respected but Juve want to be among the best clubs in the world.

“That is and always will be our ambitious goal.”
