I've no idea how good Tielemans is, but I don't expect an 18 year old from the Belgian league to be a reliable player, especially in that key position. Evra would have to play virtually every game. Hopefully Morata never gets injured so we don't have to use Llorente. Jovetic with Dybala would be interesting.

Lavezzi is such a Beppe deal. Signing a 30 year old, washed-up, former "star" on a bosman, or for peanuts in the winter window, 100% disregarding the fact that we've been waiting for a CAM to arrive for 16 months now, and that Allegri doesn't really want to play a winger-based formation, and that 4-3-1-2 got us to the CL final last year.

And people say Beppe has a plan. Yeah. It's signing whatever random players pop onto his radar as cheap/free opportunity targets.

Evra has Asamoah and Padoin as subs. Sure its better to have sandro but we would still be fine without him. I think he is a good player but LB was not an urgent spot for the squad.

Tielesmans should not be super reliable at this age. I'd prefer someone like Alonso coming in to deputize marchisio (free in the summer btw). Tielemans would be a substitute that can get plenty of game time and can be eased in to the squad. When we integrated Pogba, marchiso was doing his job most of the time and Pogba was allowed to be eased in without any crazy pressure to perform. It would also free marchisio to deputize for Pogba, or Khedira before the likes of staruro or even asamoah have to do so. I'd go as far as getting both Tielemans and Alonso precisely because its such a key role for the squad. Having marchisio as the only player capable of playing that role in the squad is suicide.

Keeping llorente (and matri) would have been better financially in my opinion than going out and buying Zaza and Mandzukic (who imo is a very good player). Llorente would have cost us 8 more millions in salaries and that was the end of it. Zaza costs us half that in salaries but he has a hefty transfer fee. Llorente is also experienced and only a year ago was a top striker.

I would have saved on dybala and went for jojo. Ofcourse we need 2 SSs so ideally we'd have both.

Oh, Lavezzi is fine physically. It's just that he sucks. He had 2 very good seasons at Napoli, playing with Cavani; 2010-11 and 2011-12. Since then, mediocrity. It's more so, what the heck are we doing changing to a 4-3-3 for those 3 players. If one of them was a world class talent, I could see it. But Mandzukic seems on the downhill slope from being a top player, Cuadrado no longer has any idea how to finish, and Lavezzi has looked like garbage for a couple years now. And we have two young players in Morata and Dybala who could develop into world class players. Allegri has already basically stifled Morata's development completely this year by playing him as a winger or second striker.

It's just sad.

Of course yours is an ideal scenario, but also Marotta is kind of "lucky" (not the right word) that those early injuries forced the additional signings. Now we have an additional CM we can't use very often so one of Lemina or Sturaro sits it out. Rugani sits it out. But with injuries they wouldn't. Someone like Alex Sandro was needed whether this season or next so if he became available you can see why we moved.

Watching him the last couple years for both Argentina and PSG, he looks slower, his decision-making much poorer, his dribbling worse, his passing worse than it was 4-5 years ago at Napoli.

He has the occasional brilliant match, where he puts it all together and looks like that player of several years ago, but it's not often. Sure, he could become the next Pirlo-type reclamation project for us, but I fear that he'll continue his downward shift in his career.

It could be many things. He is "only" 30. So he has a lot of time left where he can be a top player still... But he'd certainly need to get that hunger back.

Speaking of hunger, I'm hoping Mandzukic can rediscover his. With Allegri currently seeing him as our No. 1 forward, we need him to really start playing with a little more of the drive and determination that had him score 48 goals in 2 years a Bayern, while being the starting CF in a CL winning squad. We need that.

But if we look our injury record. We could expect morata, jovetic, marchisio, caceres, khedira would be injured from your planing squad.
Maybe evra would be injured to because play to much.
So, what formation would allegri use if he just had buffon, chiellini, bonucci, padoin, litchsteiner, sturaro, tielmans, pogba isco, matru and llorente?
Would it be better than our real condition?
