Then you read one of Seven's posts about how here, at Juve, we should be aiming at the Hazard's and Messu's because we are Juve and getting to the CL final wasn't a one of.
We've never been in the market for top players at top prices, Marotta and co have said this time and time again yet people get worked up by these random gurus and the trash papers, but that doesn't mean we can't be competitive. Football isn't like a lot of sports, there are others factors which bridge technical gaps.

It's not like we are signing a bunch of donkeys, but you can't sell a Vidal and replace a Vidal at the same time.

You guys know we can't go on winning Scudetti forever right? Every cycle comes to an end, and maybe we're at the end...

My question is, would you blame Marotta and co. if we don't retain the title this season?
Absolutely, because they've prepared poorly for this transfer in my opinion. They've tried to do too much and couldn't keep their house together, they've done great in getting new names for the attack, but the midfield has regressed severely and that could've been avoided with a little bit of foresight.

Obviously, I've been thinking about this for a couple of years, eventually circumstances have to go against your team. We aren't Celtic in the SPL, Serie A isn't a pub league, we have just been exceptionally consistent and have the largest turnover.

I think if any other team is going to grab a real scudetto chance then this year is as good as any (probably until the others get their new stadiums), our long term plan is strong, we are growing financially and we have created a stable of strong young players, unlike Inter and their usual shortsightedness. A lot of clubs will be hoping for us to start slowly, but I won't go into meltdown if we do, you win leagues by being talented and consistent, and with younger players that is more difficult.

Marotta has done a great job turning the roster over and making it much younger. He's really done all he can do to prolong our cycle. It's not easy to win 5, 6, or 7 years in a row in Italy. You have to almost rebuild on the fly.

I do have a criticism and it's related to this current search for a #10. I didn't want to sell Vidal but understood that it could happen. I'm not very impressed by our actions after Vidal's departure though. You would think there would be more of a plan in place after selling such a big player. Was Vidal's sale done in haste? I find that hard to believe.

I was ready for Vidal to be sold and for a #10 to come right in, get training with the squad, complete our team and be ready for the start of the season. But right now I think our build up to the season is hitting a bit of a rough patch.

Surely we had to know that luring Gotze or Draxler from Germany for a reasonable sum would be hard if not impossible. I find it strange that we picked those two as our targets. There are AMs around the world that are probably easier to acquire. And if not, we could have went the winger route. There's no shortage of those.

Beppe hasn't enough charisma to negotiate with european TOP CLUBS . now he works as JUVENTUS manager for 6 years and in this period he had only one real signing from another european TOP CLUBS who was Morata ( a youngster with BUYBACK! ) .

he is a very good manager to brings free Players like Pogba , Pirlo , etc or top players from smaller teams like Vidal , Dybala , Vucinic , Asamoah , etc . but he can't negotiate with TOP CLUBS and convince them to sell their stars to him and i think we can't sign any star like Gotze , Isco .. from a top club with Marotta .

And replacing him with an injury prone khedira is like shooting ourselves in the foot.

IMO, the most sensible loss was Tevez...but now, with khedira showing his true colors..we are indeed on the verge of a troublesome season if we cant set things straight like , now!.

Yeah, if only Marotta was more charismatic Juve would be able to pay huge transfer fees and wages.

But this also has to do with the budget he has to work.

Lets be honest...top players form top teams need an incentive to come to this putrid league,,,and on top of it all, we need to pay stellar dollars to those clubs... the same dollars real madrid and barcelona are paying..and we simply cant do that, marotta or not.

So, if we are going to judge, we need to take everything in consideration. That said,, obvs im not convinced by the fee Vidal was sold.

I said the same thing a couple days ago and if I'm not mistaken you joined in the sarcasm at the thought of it. Sorry if it wasn't you but the meltdowns in this forum this summer makes it extremely hard to take anyone seriously
