But I haven't stated an opinion here. I asked a question
But the answer is already known: we can't win every single year. I've said the same thing and we all know the what the reaction was. Like I said I don't remember who chimed in with a negative response

And your question was more or less to tell everyone to have a reality check

At least that's how I took it

The question is if you would blame the management if we lost it this season.

Well, not you, but everyone else

We it looks dead now, Marotta pretty much waiving the white flag. I don't expect any huge names anymore thought we had enough after selling Vidal.

 I'm interested in hearing other replies
From anyone in particular?:D

-if we lose I think it would be because of how we injected our team with so many new players and the "geling" problem. That falls on The board and coach
- of course injuries are an issue that could be problematic and i would blame Marotta for taking those risks if they don't bear fruit (like Khedira)
-some others I'm too lazy to type oh my phone

I have other things in my life that I get worried about, my football team is not one of them :)
Well played Beppe_Aus. That is genuinely well said. Wish we could all master that art. I wish it wouldn't affect me as much as it did when my team wins/loses.

His interviews are embarassing...
Seriously, wtf. Just don't speak if you're going to say something stupid.

Pipe dreams were shattered.
The pre-season comedy circle.

- Spurred on by the media and Twitter gurus, get overly excited with unrealistic expectations of signings
- Crash back down to earth with the feeling you had when your childhood pet died, as Marotta crushes the dreams of peasants worldwide
- Get moderately-very excited by any half decent player who arrives at this point
Thing is, especially this season, a lot of the names kinda came from the club. Allegri in particular mentioned Oscar and the classic 10 etc. The media see an influx of cash from CL, Adidas, and then a shocking Vidal sale and put two and two together.

Marrotta is having a shocker at the moment. I grant him that he doesn't have to buy Oscar/Isco, but 'they're not stellar players" and "we will NEVER sign them" makes him look like someone whose ambitions/skill set are limited as far as European success goes. He just spent 18m on Zaza and he comes out and says daft shit like that. At times he seems more like he's justifying his movement on the mercato than actually talking about our approach.

Granted, we may not be in the league of a 50m rated player, or a 'world class player' but after spending 32m plus 8m on Dybala, you would think there is more of where that came from, more so after the Vidal sale to make a move that signifies intent, not opportunity. Goetze/Draxler to me are still on the cards. Anything less/different, and I would say that we've been let down by management, not the circumstances.

You guys know we can't go on winning Scudetti forever right? Every cycle comes to an end, and maybe we're at the end...

My question is, would you blame Marotta and co. if we don't retain the title this season?
I agree here. We aren't going to be winning forever. But keep in mind, we've pushed the transition onto our task list this season and tried to do too much where it perhaps wasn't required. The Vidal sale needs to be looked at from that perspective and when you consider that we did it at a time we were in a position of strength, then that changes a bit, because it should have facilitated a smoother transition thsn we are currently setting ourselves up for, with these contradictory interviews in the press.

We've never been in the market for top players at top prices, Marotta and co have said this time and time again yet people get worked up by these random gurus and the trash papers, but that doesn't mean we can't be competitive. Football isn't like a lot of sports, there are others factors which bridge technical gaps.

It's not like we are signing a bunch of donkeys, but you can't sell a Vidal and replace a Vidal at the same time.
It's a bit formulaic, to the extent that we know the youth needs to be balanced out by a little more experience. That's where I want a slightly more experienced player than Draxler in the AM. Not that it would happen, but a David Silva or Mata would mix things up nicely up top.

We it looks dead now, Marotta pretty much waiving the white flag. I don't expect any huge names anymore thought we had enough after selling Vidal.
Will be pissing off if we can't close a 30-35m rated player post Vidal's sale.

It depends on what happens the seasons afterwards. If this is a transition season then be it if we end up in a viral transition that takes too long to end then yes of course.

But this also has to do with the budget he has to work.

Lets be honest...top players form top teams need an incentive to come to this putrid league,,,and on top of it all, we need to pay stellar dollars to those clubs... the same dollars real madrid and barcelona are paying..and we simply cant do that, marotta or not.

So, if we are going to judge, we need to take everything in consideration. That said,, obvs im not convinced by the fee Vidal was sold.
but of all seasons the budget excuse shouldn't be the case this summer, the wages freed up from selling Pirlo, Tevez and now Vidal, the strong run we had last season amounting to well over 100 mill just for the CL run alone, adidas money and other sponsorships and sales. Now i'm not saying we ought to buy a 40+ mill player but when beppe starts using the financial constraints as an excuse this summer I'm sorry but that just doesnt stick at all!

Whatever, Juventus and football is a big part of my life and something I'm passionate about, we all invest time and emotion into the team so it's right to ride the emotional roller coaster from time to time.

What we've done this market is inexcusable, we've considerably weakened, whereas the rest of Serie A has strengthened, what annoys me, we're the best off financially in the league, but constantly look to break even. Looks like the Vidal sale was exactly for that reason.
i told you rating this summer's mercato 10/10 was premature :D
