How much did Khedira cost again?

And what would you say if we paid 40M for Khedira?
I'm not bashing Khedira. I'm bashing the clever members who labelled Vidal as injury prone after having 1 serious injury, yet praised Khedira's transfer who has a bigger injury track record. I actually liked Khedira's transfer (I liked it even better when we thought we bought him as a bench option though).

Except Khedira isn't half the player Vidal is. Plus, Khedira is someone who has played very few games in the past two years due to injuries, if you are going to consider Vidal injury prone, then I wonder what you'd say about Khedira.

One thing I'd say about the Vidal transfer, is that 35M + bonuses is a steal for a player of Vidal's quality in today's market. He's had one bad injury a year ago, which granted has effected his performances this season, but that is natural, for all we know, after a summer's rest he could be back as good as ever.

How much did Kondogbia go for? That would put Vidal's 35M + bonuses in perspective.

The fact is, if we signed Khedira for 40M with his injury record, I'd totally flip out and question it. But the fact he came on a free negates it. And I think he'll do more than a good job for us over the coming seasons.

Kondogbia is 7 years younger is he not? Not saying that he is anywhere near Vidal's level, but age/injury record/potential.hype etc added to his price.

That's the thing that pisses me off most.Vidal with one meniscus surgery ,one serious injury in four years is an injury prone and Khedira who barely played last year isn't?Yet no problem with Khedira's 28 years but Vidal with 28 is too old.To biasing here.Yes I know Khedira was for free but it will be much better if we take more money for Vidal also.
Kondogbia ,a no name player with potential was payed 40 mil.and Vidal 37.Great transfer.

We also have no idea what kind of funds Marotta has been authorized to spend in the remainder of the mercato. People keep saying Marotta can't close on big targets like Aguero, Van Persie, Sanchez, etc... but each and every time we were priced out on those players, we couldn't spend 30+ mil on players at that point in time. It had nothing to do with Marotta being able to close on top players, it had more to do with our club being unable to spend sufficient funds on top players.

Marotta has done a fantastic job with limited resources. He's made his share of mistakes, but building a team that has now won 4 straight scudetti, a first coppa italia in 20 years, and played in a CL final for the first time in 12 years... well, he at least deserves a little respect and patience to see at the very least how we begin the season, before people flip out about how he performed this mercato. We lost 3 top players and brought in 3 high profile players, plus Zaza. Only time will tell how these players turn out and how Juventus shall do this season.
It's nonsensical really. Blatant hate for Marotta is one of the misteries of this place. Fairly good lad, proved every summer to be more than capable of making important decision, and those in vast majority of cases have been beneficial for this club, its results on the pitch along with ever increasing stature. The way he trolls GMs of other clubs you simply gotta love. 7m for van Persi  , or 15m for Draxler :lol2: have been epic. Long may he live and run this club.

Ya, but Kondogbia is a player that didn't make it in Sevilla, and was rejuvenated last year. He's a good player that has potential but there's still that risk. In all cases, would you pay more for a proven player in his prime or a young player that may or may not realize his potential?

Cronios, DP84, Zacheryah and Turk are all pretty much the same
I mostly maintain balance.

There is silly hate, where he actually deserves praise.

When people moderately comment, positive or negative, you usually dont see me in this thread unless they are factually wrong.

But when the big hate comes, i'll be present

Kondogbia was sold above what he's worth as well imo.

I'd say Vidal should have been sold for ~45 million & Kondogbia for around 30.
Also gotta factor in wages though.

Vidal's injury record was never a problem, how he recovered from that one serious injury was. For a while it looked like he'd never regain full fitness. I bet it was because we made him play injured in the first place though.
