Well, wanting out isn't the end of the world. All good clubs/management should use that as an opportunity to correct some impressions or needs. Sometimes a player needs to see what else is out there to realize how good they have it at home before they re-up.

But showing a player the door just because they say they want out is both rash and a stunted conversation/opportunity.

Well, in terms of Bayern and a pay increaes it not hard to see "what is out there" or "how good they have it here" when they will probably have it better at a wealthier club like Bayern. They win too, its not like he was window shopping in Milan. Bayern probably declared interest and they told Vidal or his agent told him.

Further more, he will walk into that lineup. So it shouldn't be up for debate on how well he would have it there vs here because he will undoubtedly play and get paid more and probably continue adding to his trophy cabinet.

Personally I see Bayern winning a CL before Juve does. I am trying to be objective and not a diehard Juve fan here. I think Vidal probably knows that is probably the last trophy he needs to complete his cabinet and at 28 he doesn't have much time. A 5 year contract at 6.5m a season isn't bad. His upside is he continues wining league titles and National cups like he would here. Make more but play for an equally alluring team. Packed stadiums and atmospheres plus maybe he misses Germany since is Bayer days?

I mentioned somewhere, the only players I really see Juventus keeping long LONG term would be Italians like Marchisio/Chiellini/Bonucci - the ones that either come young or through the youth setup. We have always been about national team players so it seems like a move they would make.

Hell, from the clubs point of view - we make the rumored 40m from Vidal, that gives us enough for maybe 2 players that really increase the quality of our lineup.

We are stacked in the midfield. I don't think a Vidal replacement is necessary. The money is needed for an AM spot.

I agree with you, Bayern is the club that needs Vidal most and we did not take advantage of their weak position.
