Actually, i do not like us selling vidal.
But i try to understand this decision.
Maybe the reason are :
1. Vidal's contract will end in 2017. Keeping him means we should increase his salary or we would sell him cheaper than now at next summer.
2. He had knee problem before. From february to july, his knee was ok but we do not know about his knee in future.
3. We already have khedira, pereyra, sturaro, and asamoah. Maybe they could not do what vidal did. But they are very capable to be decent CM.
4. Vidal can drive while drunk when he had important task like copa america.

And i still try to understand why juve sell vidal this quickly.

Bought him for 10, sells him for 40 four years later after the player has had a very serious injury, off the field issues and amidst doubts whether or not he will ever return to his absolute best.

Sure man, Beppe has been "found out"!

Also: Just because City goes nuts in the transfer market, doesn't mean that every club will.

At 28 years old and with 2 years remaining on his contract, Vidal's value is around 40-45 million.
This not an excuse Jem.

The fact that we sold him for a profit doesnt automatically justify this nonsense.

Yeah Baggio, we decided that a paltry 35million is an insanely good price we cant reject for Vidal, when the player doesnt want out.

Sure man. logical.
That we dont know Zach. And this smell fishy

Didn't Marrotta mention earlier this month or last that he wouldn't be surprised if Benitez wanted Vidal after seeing him in the serie a. And weren't Real in the running, rumoured, but we're they not in the fray for this signing? Do you do genuinely believe Vidal chose Pep and Bayern over a realistic and possible move to Madrid? Surely, nothing is logical at this point, and it won't be till we know both sides of the story.

The point remains, even if the player wanted this move, the club should've locked it down. It is an opportune move on behalf of the club coz they know he's got two years to run on his contract and it was one last big pay day for the player this season. He was clearly not in a the grander scheme of things, and if you agree with me, which I'm sure you will, we just got paid 35m for THE best midfielder in his role, in a market where Raheem Sterling went for 60m, and you're telling me the player pushed for this deal so we couldn't get more out of it? Common Zach.

This is a move that's going to hurt us, money aside. And I completely disagree with the club's decision here. And if it was Allegris decision, I disagree with that too. This guy was the engine of the team, in his prime. And we don't buy big money players. There's nobody that's going to offer what he did on the pitch for us, and neither are you going to pay 40m to find a player that has that level of grinta. Just terribly terribly disappointed after the season we had.
Well said...specially the bolded parts

I totally agree. This happened way too fast.
this

It is happening.

Learn to $#@!ing enforce contracts
Exactly. If he wantd to go or we wanted to sell....no matter what of those 2 reasons..... fukin sell him at the price he is worth dammit !!

I think Marrotta had mentioned a July 15th deadline for any of these sales. So either this thing was Vidal lying to the fans about being here forever, or it was Bayern catching Juves 15th July deadline with a cheeky offer that tempted the club to consider a move for a player they are probably finding difficult to control for his off field antics. I am very eager to hear the club's take on this. Either way it should've been a blocked move.
I want to hear Marotta and the rest, what they have to say.

The Marottists should prepare for what could potentially be their greatest challenge. Defending that 35 mils sale.

I trust Beppe, but i have my doubts.

Lets hope its all media bullshit

I'm far from a Moratta hater , I love what he's done at the club so far, but I refuse to be an apologist for anyone. I will criticise someone when it is deserved. Like yourself, I'm now hoping all this is just rumours.

Well, at least we cleared up that Moratta can sell.

For peanuts, but at least he can sell!

Fire sale summer! Going out of business sale.
The way we sold Tevez was a joke itself never mind what we did with Vidal.

Considering how well Tevez did with us last year, and what we got in return from his sale, I rather we did keep for the final year than have leave on a free. This was a tender moment to tell the world we are here to stay among the best, and now we go and sell our two best players? Heck had we proved we meant business by doing well next year maybe Tevez would have changed his mind, and Vidal would have stayed. Next year was supposed to be the year we did well, instead we adopted the typical small club looser mentality; buy players who are either not being used from big clubs or players from small teams.

The summer started off really well, now it's ending in a nightmare

Vidal's sale will be heart breaking, but enough of this small club mentality bs, please. It is not even that much of a financial gain to justify what you are suggesting, and no guarantee of success keeping star players, could go either way. We saw what happened to inter holding on their main core milito, maicon and the rest after treble season.

and this is what happens when u let ur best player leave for free.

great example u are setting, marotta (and agnelli)

even if vidal doesnt leave, it now gives a signal to rest of clubs and players hat u can hold the club hostage because the club has no spine. great job.

go ahead x. ban me from this thread too.

exactly, finally someone gets it.

We're not a chairty case. Man Utd forced Rooney to stay, and now they've managed to rebuild with him on there team.

We've basically told our players they can leave cheaply whenever they ask, and told Europe we are prepared to sell our players who are under contracted.

No facepalm can express the Vidal sale if it's true.

Not that I'm disrespecting Moratta here, but he's messed up big time
