Man some people are stuburn and will not change their opinions no matter.

I remember when we had Secco here people were defending him like crazy. Whenever I or anyone else criticize the guy, they would jump on him as if we insulted their girlfriends.

The moment he left, same people are calling him names like sucko or whatever.

Ill bet right now, in a season or 2 when Marotta evountally leaves, same thing will happen to him.

Just wait and watch.

During Secco's tenure team never won a single trophy, failed to strengthen important areas, failed to replace most of aging players that Marotta had to deal with later on, didn't invest in youth, went to a spending spree in his final year that eventually led to his dismissal. Sorry, might be my ignorance, but I can't see any resemblance.

Marotta makes top signings (pirlo, barzagli, pogba, lorente, vidal, tevez, coman, lichtsteiner) for peanuts. all of them risk-free because they were already top players or did come for free. no-brainer but for this he is hailed as the king of directors by some members.

All other signings for the first team were either vastly overvalued or had no impact. The only exception would be asamoah and vucinic, paid big bucks but paid off. But when someone criticize marotta exactly for this money wasting, he is a fucking peasant with no brain.

It is ridiculous. I mean if it were Del Piero who was criticized for some mistakes, i would understand if people defend him to death because he is a fucking legend. But we are talking about marotta who works FOR juve and is not juve.

nonsense. barza, vidal and pogba, and pirlo and tevez have become the fundamental players for the team. none of them were wanted at their clubs anymore and were not considered key players (except vidal and even then he was not this good) so your point is silly. he signed players that were key part in juventus' record breaking title runs. besides pirlo. did you even know or had seen any of those players before? i highly doubt it

ok. financially speaking:
barzagli cost 0,3 mil if he flops no harm
vidal cost 12 mil was one of the best if not the best player in germany, the risk that he flops was very tiny even if he had flopped the 12 mil could be easily recovered
pogba cost 0,3 mil one of the hottest prospects at the time, if he flops no harm
pirlo for free 3 years contract and big wages, there was little risk. even if he flopped there would be many teams who would take an out of form pirlo for even higher wages (usa, oil clubs etc)
tevez cost 9+6 mil come on the risk was minimal that this deal wouldn´t work out. Tevez was probably the strongest striker we got since zlatan, if he flopped nobody would blame marotta.

you are right he got these player and this is were credit is due.

But he was not responsible for implementing these players into the team and let their strengths shine. this was contes job.

i watched all these players with the exception of pogba but I don´t exactly know how that matters. people criticize marotta for the money wasting deals he made.

I think a fair assessment of Beppe would be that he played a large part in getting us back to the top of (Admittedly a poor) Serie A. And has left us the likes of Pogba who even if they don't stay can get us a massive amount of money. However, it's also fair to say he's had his fair share of crap signings and may not be the man to take us forward once again if we ever can compete with elite clubs for the odd signing here and there. Simply put, we have no idea how he would fare in such high profile negotiations.

See, this is what i'm talking about. When beppe buys pepe, people are like oh he's crap. When a better coach gets the best out of it,"its all conte"

Krasic was a pretty good player, but at some point things went wrong and del neri couldnt fix it.

Under conte, the guy barely dared to do anything. He had 0 confidence. Now excuse me, but that wasent the krasic i've seen in the beginning. Conte had his failures aswel, wich was that he couldnt give krasic his confidence back, as he did with many other players.

And thats about the only bad thing i'll say about conte's performances, cause i loved the guy and think he's the best coach in italy since Lippi.


But pinning Krasic on Marotta ? No sorry.

Same could be Said for Diego and secco everyone was excited back than....i dont even get Whats wrong with criticising someone. Marotta def made some great signings (pirlo pogba barza Vidal) but he made some pretty bad signings also (elia Martínez Krasic peluso etc). A sporting director is bound to make mistakes but its obvious that u need to learn from past mistakes.
And he still makes some mistakes over and over again (quantity over quality, or finalising deals for example). I really dont Need to accept or share every Choice the Club makes. People mock others just cause they dont Share their views or critizise the great man....

As I said before the good deals marotta made were no-brainer. I don´t hail marotta or conte for these players. In my view there was little risk financial and sporting wise, they were and are very good players.
