I'm pretty balanced but I just hate the fact that someone could catch so much unwarranted flack for doing his job. Marotta was brought here to revive Juventus. Are we revived? Yes. Did we win titles? Yes. Are win a great position for the future? Yes.

Now everyone shut up. I don't care if he wasted some money here and there. He's not perfect but the job was done in a very satisfactory manner. You're happy and proud to support Juventus again. So what good is it to whine that he paid 18M for Matri when he should have paid 14.23423525M instead? Just shut up already.

If someone put a gun to everyone's head, they'd all decide to keep Marotta, I'm fucking positive of that fact. They just like to critique meaningless things over and over.

It works both ways. The daily scorn and need to make him out to be Hitler reincarnated is just as aggravating. Like or dislike the man based on his performances, not because certain members have hard-ons pointing in opposite directions.


For those who go overboard in the effusive praise of Beppe, you would think that this club has just won the Champions League or something of that regard. And for those who deride him, you would think that this is a mid-table club in the midst of its 4th consecutive 7th place finish.


The guy is not perfect. No DS is. It just doesn't happen. I certainly don't remember a whole lot of Moggi bashing when some of his costly mistakes in the transfer market (more than some people would want to admit) didn't pan out. Hell, even Secco has had a larger leash than Beppe, and he fucked up royally. The team finished in 7th place in 2009-2010 for a reason. It was an old, an unbalanced team, that was on his watch. But some people cast him in a sympathetic light. Give me a fucking break.

Players could go to athletico, or tottenham, just because they play in a league with one of those teams, they get noticed and could get their dreammove. Serie a ends with juventus, as long as it isnt on their level, its that much less attractive.

So marotta goes for the big potential players, but not to obvious ones, ones that we can actually get. This means italians, who dont leave italy and consider juve as the peak of their carreer. Or a player like vidal.
But it also means the risk of getting krasic, martinez. They could have turned out great, but didnt deliver.

This is the case with most managers. Watch every team richer then us, you'll quickly see massive loads of cash invested into players that didnt deliver it.

However, Marotta has been SO very costefficient. He lost transfer cash, but didnt overdo the wages, so its not that big deal. as an offset, he kept a tight wage structure, as a further improvement. Lastly, the players marotta got that delivered, increased so much in marketvalue, that if we'd sell them today, we would be having 3 times the money we lost on fee and wages of the unsuccesfull players. This is what makes marotta such succesfull manager

What kind of bullshit is this. Your are asking a question that almost couldn't be more subjective. A good transfer is not exclusively based on numbers and facts, but on personal opinions and how well you think a player performed. Furthermore, are you actually expecting anyone to go through 12 years of transfer history just to give you the number of top level players Moggi bought? I didn't think so either, but if you think your question is so interesting, then it might be a good idea to provide a link to such a list.

Thank Secco for the Felipe Melo situation. Martinez was a royal fuck up by Marotta, not sure why the hell he decided to spend 12M on that guy when he could barely run properly. I know he was good at Catania, but it was still an extremely odd transfer and easily his biggest disaster.

Motta and Ziegler will eventually be sold to some shit teams for a few mill. I hardly think there is much of a problem with them two.

Conte got the best out of his players, wich is the job of any good coach.

Conte is just unleashing the potential that beppe sees in them. thats why they are such a fantastic duo.

Beppe first sign a number of cheap players that perfoms good under conte, in a addition to a few players that now carry the team.

barzagli, bonucci,lichtsteiner,caceres,vidal,asamoah,vucinic. they arent overachieving, they are just that good

Of course Conte gets most of the credit. He is a fantastic coach who has worked wonders with the squad he has been given, but if you seriously dont think that Beppe hasn't assembled the best (by far) team in Italy, then you're vastly underrating our players. He's put together an extremely solid team, whether we had Conte or not, it's still the strongest in the league. Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci, Pirlo, Pogba, and even Vucinic, would walk into the starting lineup in EVERY team in Italy.
