im sure plenty do, while you go against his extremist detractors i go against his extremist apologists :D
Considering the trophee's, financial improvement, and currently beeing the only non seller team in the league ? We arent apologists, just realists.

Imagine 3 years ago the idea we'd have made a player the best in the world, and deny real madrid when they demand him ?

Not even moggi could do that

That sounds very legit for the person that isnt to keen on spending money on juve :D
Sorry, what? If anything this clearly means that money is not the problem.

Give.him.money. People in here act like Marotta can't fill out the numbers to match the release clause on the contracts, think ffs.
If it's all about money, why is he even credited for the team's success? He bought when the money was available, he didn't buy when money wasn't available. Everyone would be able to do that job.

it's real world dynamics, nobodys interested in your story, only results.
If that was the case, this thread wouldn't even be open. You only care about results?

Actually he also bought Pirlo, Llorente and Pogba for less than it costs me to buy a gumball at a grocery store.

Here is something to ponder.

It seems as if the dynamics have changed now, with Conte having more of a say in the transfer market.

Let's assume that Marotta is able to get one of Higuain and Jovetic, and they fail miserably. Who is to blame?

Conversely, if either one of them prove to be smashing success, who gets the credit?

What about bashing him for the previous transfer windows where he did already lots of damage?
Were you bashing Moggi for some of his failings in some of his previous transfer windows? Because there were a few.

Yes and I actually never liked Moggi. I mocked him for Olivera and Kapo not to mention Blasi and Giannichedda. And I won't mention others like Gladstone and the likes.

Irrelevant. Point is Marotta's job is not just paying money. This "he doesn't have the money to seal those big deals" excuse makes little sense now that it's used everywhere in this thread every time he fails to buy a top player he's moved for.

Not Marotta.

Marotta.

Lots of damage may be a bit far fetched, but I agree that he made mistakes. He also did some decent moves too. Some even great. His biggest mistake so far was not to get that great striker last Summer.

All in all, considering what we achieved in the last 2 seasons, he did well overall. This Summer is make or break for him though. If he'll manage to get another good attacker with Llorente and replace Asamoah, I'd extend his contract if I were Agnelli.

:agree: I am sure a lot more people would be more inclined to appreciate Marotta if there were more balanced members supporting him (X, Sergio, and to a certain extent Klin; can't believe I am mentioning him :p)

However, the daily praise and need to defend him @ every opportunity on a daily basis makes it that much easier to dislike the man and vent.
