Marotta has done some important and good moves, I also give him the credit for assembling this squad, but he also made errors; overpaying for or getting players of little use if at all, Martinez being the highlight, and the fact he alluded several times his intention to get a top striker, but failed. He maybe didn't have enough funds, that I don't know (and if it is the case, it's understandable), but then, he shouldn't have made any kind of statements.

I just love how they basically write off most of Beppe's work and just attribute our good results only because of Conte. This forum is amazing, it's always black and white. Rarely is there shades of grey.
Our results are mainly down to our coach, even if Marotta played a role in giving him a base to work with. Some people might extrapolate in saying it's all down to Conte, but in a sense they're not that far off. Conte had a bigger influence on our results as he was the one working out schemes and tactics, working with the players and getting the best out of them (i.e. doing the dirty work); hence why he is the one getting more recognition and deservedly so.
Anyway, Beppe's role at Juve is much more than just signing players.
