If you look at Beppe's approach, and the kind of players he goes for, since Conte's arrival now come with a tactical purpose, unlike his first season here. Save Pirlo, most players that came in last season, had come in keeping the tactics in mind, as with this season.
I suppose Delneri held him back in the first season, if we are attributing such importance to the coach in transfer policy.

Given that he appointed Del Neri in the first place, he took a lot of decisions without consulting the coach. Had he consulted the coach, then Luigi wouldn't have been playing a flat 442, 2 fullbacks and 1 winger short.

rhe scudetto is Conte's achievement but it is Marotta's job to make it even possible and he did very good at that
and people still talking about Del Neri???
haven't you noticed that the man is a born loser
give him the best pllayers in the world and he still can't win anything
last night I saw a game of Chelsea playing ManU at Old Trafford when Del Neri was coaching Chelsea
Chelsea outplayed them and won but did they win the title? no of course not the story of his life

and why is that?
I'm only saying Del Neri maybe a good coach but he can never finish the job
am I wrong?
he always finds a way to mess it up over and over again
so I wouldn't be blaming Marotta for his faillure
the only mistake he made was hiring Del Neri in the first place

He didn't say it was all down to Beppe, though.

david villa rumors coming this way.
People see what they want to see.

I just love how they basically write off most of Beppe's work and just attribute our good results only because of Conte. This forum is amazing, it's always black and white. Rarely is there shades of grey.

Anyway, Beppe's role at Juve is much more than just signing players.

Marotta has done some important and good moves, I also give him the credit for assembling this squad, but he also made errors; overpaying for or getting players of little use if at all, Martinez being the highlight, and the fact he alluded several times his intention to get a top striker, but failed. He maybe didn't have enough funds, that I don't know (and if it is the case, it's understandable), but then, he shouldn't have made any kind of statements.

Our results are mainly down to our coach, even if Marotta played a role in giving him a base to work with. Some people might extrapolate in saying it's all down to Conte, but in a sense they're not that far off. Conte had a bigger influence on our results as he was the one working out schemes and tactics, working with the players and getting the best out of them (i.e. doing the dirty work); hence why he is the one getting more recognition and deservedly so.

Anyway, Beppe's role at Juve is much more than just signing players.
What do you mean?
