Isla and Asamoah are not Estigarribia like transfers.
My logic was right in the Motta and Quaq co owns as well.
We did not loan them for zero or unsignificant sums and they are not the kind of players that can be shiped back.
It is certain that we will buy them, even if they pull Motta-like performances.
We all know it, just like we knew that we are signing Motta, no matter what. They call it a co-own to justify the installments, we saw that kind of deals in the past and many transfer managers have openly reckoned that they used these kind of tactics to balance the books and make it easier for the clubs to pay those installments in time.
This argument has been used in the past summer deals and it has been disaproved time and time again, so its a waste of time going back there again.
We wont throw away a 15mil investment, only to ship them back... Alen, do you honestly believe that?
We know that Isla and Asamoah will be signed and the sums for their full transfers are already commited.
The decision is made this year, so it wont affect future summer budgets directly, as its pre-calculated.

Considering the annual budget we commit though, their full sum should be considered for this year's budget.
Because we will pay it and we have to consider it sometime (i m perfectly sure noone will consider it next year, as they dont consider Vuciniç and Matri's installments this year)
At any case, the calculate you made is not valid, as it does not includes ALL of the installments we are paying this year from past transfers, so you better not go there...
Just gonna jump in and point out that it's not the same situation as with quag and motta as both of them were loans. We haven't thrown money at them that we won't get back, like in the loan deals, as if they go back to udinese they will need to buy our 50% back.

You may be right about how budgets are done - I have no idea, I'm not an accountant for a football club - but using the previous loan deals as examples is a very flawed argument in this case.
(unless of course on announcement these turn out to be loans, but I'm fairly sure they're co-owns?)

History has proven him right many times.

Once Pirlo goes, we'll probably go to attacking more through the wings instead of the center and using the 3-5-2 more because it stifles the opposition. It'll be hard to find someone who does what he does anywhere near as good.

But again we come to what I said. If we count Isla and Asamoah's full sums this summer, then we shouldn't count Caceres and Giaccherini for this summer because they were last year's buys. In the end you will get almost the same total of money for this summer. Instead of 37.05m eur the total sum will be 39.8m eur for new players (minus the money we got from Ekdal) which will be paid in installments.

At any case, the calculate you made is not valid, as it does not includes ALL of the installments we are paying this year from past transfers, so you better not go there...
FFS, of course I can't make a 100% correct calculation due to the installments and we're forced to count it this way. It was you who said that we spent most of the transfer budget and you made it sound as if you knew how much we're paying for installments and new players. In any case, the installments from the previous seasons are more or less nullified with the fact that we're buying the new players in installments too. That's why the only logical way to count it is the way I did it in one of my posts above.

Btw, this is how much we were spending in all the post-calciopoli seasons, bar the serie B one.

2007/08 Buys: 63.2m eur ---- Sales: 28.5m eur ---- total = 34.7m eur
2008/09 Buys: 39m eur -------Sales: 24.6m eur -----total = 14.4m eur
2009/10 Buys: 54.8m eur ---- Sales: 17.8m eur ---- total = 37m eur
2010/11 Buys: 59.8m eur ---- Sales: 41m eur ------ total = 18.8m eur
2011/12 Buys: 92.2m eur ---- Sales: 15.5m eur ---- total = 76.7m eur

1- Yes Alen, thats precisely what i said in post #11592 Its roughly 30+11+4=45mil,
(for Isla+Asamoah+Giovinco only, no Caceres, Giacche, Matri, Vucinic, etc)
not considering Pogba, Veratti and that young forward... (if we add them too, thats about what we spend as average every year)
2- Exactly, so to keep it simple and clean, lets calculate the full commited ammount of this transfer window alone.
(considering that past installments, will null future installments)
3- As i said, considering the fact that we have already commited 45mil/ of the 60mil (which is the average buy ammount),
we have spent the biggest part of our the budget we allocate every year. BUT we have yet to make any solid sales yet.
That was my point all along.

So to make that +35mil CF acquisition for ex, we need about 20-25mil income from sales.
More if we want to buy a LB as well. Even more if we pay for those 3 youngsters.
Even more if we dont sign Lucio and will have to spend for a decent CB.

Can't help but to think we pretty much got raped on that Isla and Asamoah deal big time from Udinese !

For 50 per cent of 24-year-old Isla's contract, Juve have paid €9.4m, whilst 50 per cent of 23-year-old Asamoah’s registration has cost them €9m.

Also as part of the deal, youngster Cristian Pasquato has moved in the opposite direction on a co-ownership basis, for a fee of €1.5m.
So we pretty much paid 20 mil in total for that deal, about 10 mil for each player's half. So we rate each player to be worth "atleast" 20 mil !!

Each player is a solid addition to the squad but are they really worth (at the moment) anything even close to that figure ?!

And I know some will come out and say yes they're worth it (based solely On their "potential") for the sake of defending Marotta's decision, this deal reminds me so much of Melo & Diego's deals (both are just 5 mil short of that price) and back then people were jumping up and down thinking we've got a bargain on that deal yet know everyone thinks that Secco is stupid for paying that price (can't really see much difference between him and Marotta with this kind of deals).
