So we pretty much paid 20 mil in total for that deal, about 10 mil for each player's half. So we rate each player to be worth "atleast" 20 mil !!

Each player is a solid addition to the squad but are they really worth (at the moment) anything even close to that figure ?!
We did pay 18.4m eur for their halves, but the "at least" part in your post is just an assumption. As far as I can tell this isn't a "co-won with rights to buy for x million euro deal ". That alone gives hundreds of possibilities. I'll just mention few of them:

1. We paid 18.4m eur for their halves, without agreeing anything at all for the other half. The other halves will be a subject of discussion later and might even go for blind bidding.
2. We paid 18.4m eur for half their contracts and we agreed to buy them next summer for additional 18.4m eur.
3. We paid 18.4m eur for half their contracts and we agreed to buy them next summer for additional 25m eur.
4. We paid 18.4m eur for half their contracts and we agreed to buy them next summer for additional 11.6m eur.
etc
etc
etc

Knowing how the Italians operate, the half is almost never really a half. Personally I believe that everything is agreed and we'll buy the remaining part of these players next summer. But the agreed price is everyone's guess. It can be that right now we paid 50% of the agreed price, but it can also mean that we paid 2/3 of the agreed price, or not even a half.

1- Yes Alen, thats precisely what i said in post #11592 Its roughly 30+11+4=45mil,
(for Isla+Asamoah+Giovinco only, no Caceres, Giacche, Matri, Vucinic, etc)
not considering Pogba, Veratti and that young forward... (if we add them too, thats about what we spend as average every year)
2- Exactly, so to keep it simple and clean, lets calculate the full commited ammount of this transfer window alone.
(considering that past installments, will null future installments)
3- As i said, considering the fact that we have already commited 45mil/ of the 60mil (which is the average buy ammount),
we have spent the biggest part of our the budget we allocate every year. BUT we have yet to make any solid sales yet.
That was my point all along.

So to make that +35mil CF acquisition for ex, we need about 20-25mil income from sales.
More if we want to buy a LB as well. Even more if we pay for those 3 youngsters.
Even more if we dont sign Lucio and will have to spend for a decent CB.
1.That was average when we didnt have CL and stadium (maybe its small but is ours)
2.The CF doesn't have to cost 35+

It is my assumption, but it is based on past experience with the guy on such deals. When did Marotta ever paid less on a co-ownership deal from his previous first payment (if ever) ?

You can quote Me on this next summer when we pay the rest of their price, I'm pretty certain of it.

The only such transfer so far was Giaccherini, but I don't think we had an agreed price with Cesena for his other half. Anyway, what you're saying is indeed a strong possibility, but it could also be true that Udinese insisted on getting more than half of the money now and the remaining money next season.

hopefully, 18 for asamoah and 18.8 for isla seems like a lot of dough for so-called depth signings, while still missing an appropriate upgrade in attack. but we do not know the real stategy, nor the budget allocated to execute it.

If we count the amount of money from previous years based on the installment.

This is approximately the money that we spend on transfer, loan and co ownership :
2009 : ~ 33 million euro
2010 : ~ 17 million euro
2011 : ~ 48.5 million euro
2012 : ~ 55.8 million euro
2013 : ~ 35.5 million euro
2014 : ~ 10.3 million euro

and yes, maybe we need to sell first before we buy the quality CF.

both could strenghten the first 11. My guess is that marchisio and vidal will have to be on their toes and in form, or asamoah will bench them. Isla will strenghten the rightside. rwb rm or rw. They are also both young and have wc potential.

 They're definitely signings that will help us, a lot.

Isla would, when playing 352, be our best option for RWB. I'm not sure about RW, but I've seen a lot of people suggest it and I think I remember him saying in his first Juve interview that he has played in forward positions in time of need. ( Probably because of a lot of injuries, but still... )

Asamoah will push Vidal and Marchisio to deliver their best and it's hard to believe we'll go through another season with so few injuries, especially since we'll have ( hopefully a lot ) more games with CHL. Even without injuries, it will be really good to have someone like Asamoah as rotation player rather than the options we had this year, even if I'm quite the Marrone fan. Players like Padoin come to mind..

The price is steep, especially for Isla, but they both assure we're able to maintain our high level in more games and in case of injury. If you can't do that, you're not going to win a thing... They might become more important for us than many people believe now.

And if, God forbid, they fail to deliver at Juve, it's not like we can't sell them on for good sums. They have great reputations, both of them.

I see no problem with these deals at all, and I'm delighted both of them will play for us.

As expected, again overpaid for Cm subs, get owned in that co own deal and sell off, for half of the invested sum, a player that still is as young and promising, as he was last summer...
Anyways, at least hopefully, he will get us that top class CF
