Juventus don't feel number 1 anymore, and it won't come easily at all without a streak of wins(scudetto wins not games).

Even if inter don't win the scudetto this year, they'll come back to win it the next, because they've won it many times.

In order to be number 1 in Italy again you must be proven innocent and handed back the titles and the losses. This will change your image and make inter feel less of a winning team again.
I'm amazed that you can know Inter will win the Scudetto next season without also knowing how the next summer Mercato will go.

And why do we have to be "popular" to be number one? Plenty of Italians hate Inter and they are still #1. Image isn't important, a top coach with capable players is what will win the scudetto.

I would say pretty much nobody here knows what really happened in Calciopoli. Perhaps someone like Gsol knows how to interpret Italian sporting law, but there might be certain events that he doesn't know happened either. All of it seems a bit puzzling to me, so I certainly have no idea what really happened.

But to be honest with you, I don't care about image anymore. After Calciopoli I thought it was important, but it really isn't. Inter is the scum of the Earth even to many Italians yet that doesn't stop them from winning.

I want the dirty, "cheating", scandalous Juventus back. Whenever we do win something again, accusations will arise anyway. That's just the way it is. Fans of other clubs can take those accusations, stick them up their fat asses, and suck my dick while I'm pissin'.

Hey JCK, have you ever considered the possibility that you are potentially a moaner as well? You moan and whine about people who moan and complain incessantly, so technically that makes you one

Oh, and btw, Moggi is spot on. He may talk too much, but most of what he says is not beyond the realms of reason.

At least we can all agree on that.

didn't Moggi once say that Marotta is a good director...
He did, and a few days before Diego was sold, he said that Juventus should sell Diego. Those who are licking his balls right now said that he is not always right, just after his announcement yesterday they are saying he is always right.

I do it to show you how annoying your behaviour is, but I guess you would not understand.

I remember that. He said Diego is not the kind of player who can succeed in Italy and back the, everyone asked him to shut his mouth but now that he is criticizing our mercato (in which he most probably doesn't mean Diego's sale but rather not finding a good replacement for him) people want him back.

Why are you amazed? Have they not won it for the past 4 years? We all laughed when they sold Ibra to Barcelona and called it a bad mercato but then again they won the treble with the likes of lucio and etoo and muntari and thiago motta, i dont call these players champions, maybe the only player close to a champion is milito.

its not the mercato that decides who wins the title, if it did, then Real Madrid should have been Universe champions last year.

Cheers to that

Exactly, the only image this club needs to achieve is that of a winning and ambitious one capable of attracting top players and managers.
Maybe you care only about the future, but i care about the past too.
Some players served juventus for years and calling the club cheats erases a big part of our history.

I agree with that blog on FI regarding this guy, he did what he was asked to do. Whether that was to turn our team to a midtable one is another thing, but this guy sure did what he was asked to do and I believe we stand a good chance ending up 3rd or 4th this season.

Word, it's what Bayern used to do prior to buying guys like Ribery and Robben.

Hoeness literally said that it made more sense to buy one great player costing 25ME than it is to buy 5 mediocre players that cost 30ME....

And anyone who says that's dumb should be kicked in the dick.
Yeah they were never relegated in the last decade have they?
Circumstances differ somewhat, no?

This mistake ur talkin bout was done by our previous management, who had the opportunity to add Quality after Ranieri's first season with us.

I don't think that anybody has a problem with reducing wage expenditure. It's the players we signed that cause the outrage, especially since we have to pay a premium for them considering they arrived from rival clubs. And another thing to consider is that if we do want to buy these loaned players, like Pepe and Qualiarella, we will have to offer them larger contracts than they already have. Just the fact that we are Juve makes their supposed value rise. So you have to look at it from all the angles.

To me, I'd rather sign a young talent and tie him down to a meager contract instead of buying a Quag who already has inflated wages for his supposed skill level, which isn't even that great.
Whether or not they (quag, pepe etc) get a significant wage increase will depend on their performance and marotta's negotiations. Its easier to negotiate a slight increase of wage than a decrease of even slighter wage. We can hope they don't get significantly more than what their making.

I too would rather see young gens, but after our recent fumbles, I think we aren't able to make that gamble. Our management sees our signings as a safer bet to getting a CL spot. Look who we've bought, above avg Serie A players, who is seen as CL spot worthy. Lets not kid ourselves, this isn't a scudetto challenging team on paper.

That's what they basically said. We are building a good base of players so that in the following years we can add a lot of quality, coming out of a few bad years like we did in the 90's. So no, I'm not misunderstanding this at all.
I am one of those who thinks this way, we are rebuilding the base.

The initial problem was the change of formation from Ranieri's 4-4-2 which was quite successful and needed few polishing to Ferara's 4-3-2-1/ diamond 4-4-2. We didn't have the players. If you want to buy few quality players as apposed to many abv average, we needed to maintain similar formation and style of play.

The 4-4-2 system was lost, now we're trying to rebuild a team for 4-4-2. Squad roster wise and strategically. So under these circumstances, I do understand our approach although I don't approve of each player than came in.

I am worried given our terrible performance against Bari, but we'll have to see a few more games to gel before predicting whether this team is really capable of top four or not.

Of course being a Juve fan, I am optimistic.
