@Buck Fuddy: Was just surfing Tj moments ago, came across this in tonight's articles: DiMarizio ironically mentioned something about the JoJo deal. Again, choose to believe it or not is an individual prerogative.

"On the front Jovetic it must be remembered that his agent Ramadani showed up at the end of the transfer market last August with an offer of 30 million of Juventus, Fiorentina declined due to time constraints and difficulties in finding a replacement of Montenegro."
Buck didn't seem to think that was the case. Was just sharing for his benefit.
I'll continue to treat it for what it is: a rumour.
And how many "confirmed" rumours have there been over the years that turned out to be incorrect?

As for how I personally feel about that rumour: not true. If you look at how we operated these last 3 years & think about it logically, then how much chance is there that we indeed offered 30m?
15m + another player? 5m for a loan + 12m for the right to buy + a player? 12m for a co-own? All "reasonable" ideas to come up with. 30m in cash? Not so much.

On a somewhat related note: I'd very much like to see Jovetic at Juve. At the right cost :D

Marotta's haters are still in the building
Pogba, Pirlo, Llorente for free is not enough  we should have signed son of a bitch Van Persie for 25m who are usually invisible in top matches in club and in national team

Yes, Beppe made mistake with Martinez and he apologized for that transfer and yet some fuckers are against him

But we're dealing with those Rats. So the right cost as I've obviously highlighted is gonna be on their terms. They'll make it difficult for sure or even leave it til the last day, then stitch us up and sell to another club while we're left with that player called "nada".

I wouldn't put it past them. Scum club. Always wanted Jovetic here but can't see marotta having the patience & play silly b0llocks with Viola all summer.

Unless

Jovetic kicks up a stink and demands a move to Juve or Marotta somehow wraps this deal up early. But to be honest I really cannot see him joining.

Fickle fans want big name players. Fickle fans dont want certain top players. Fickle fans dont want players that supposedly 'choke'. Fickle fans dont want a wc player that earns alot of money. Fickle fans dont realise how lucky we would be to even sign a top player this summer.

stop saying Fickle fans.
That is precisely what most football fans are, especially around here

Just look at some of the posters that voted no

Besides three or four names, the rest are some of the biggest clowns on the forum :D
If marotta were to be replaced by someone who does bring a name that satisfies many here then what would you say then?

When you say "brings in a name" you're obviously talking about a forward. He's helped build and strengthened the core of this squad with limited resources he's had. And I think he's done a good job in that. Now the focus is on bringing in a forward. Which he's done in luring Llorente. Maybe not enough for some here but unless we oust a couple of our forwards then he can't do much.

Oh, we might get a transfer director that can sign a "superstar" but expect us to sell a 3 or 4 of our top players afterwards.
