Marotta: 'Conte official on Monday'
Juventus will “make Antonio Conte official on Monday,” confirmed director general Beppe Marotta.

The Bianconeri have axed Gigi Del Neri after failing to qualify for Europe, despite the fact he has another year to run on his contract.

“We will announce the new Coach in a few days,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“Juventus will make Conte official on Monday. We thank Del Neri for everything he has done this season and it was a painful decision to change.

Next year we will confirm most of the current squad and will add some world class reinforcements.

Former Bianconeri midfielder Conte has just earned promotion with Siena.

Juve fans held up a large banner in the stands during tonight’s game with Napoli: 'Conte is our Coach.’

You can believe it as of now, he just said it. The only thing is your definition of world class against his definition of the term.

I think that's what Marotta said, not Moggi.

Even though I do remember Moggi *sort of* complimenting Marotta and Moggi.

Luciano Moggi has given his seal of approval to the new Juventus leadership, hailing president Andrea Agnelli, general director Giuseppe Marotta and coach Luigi Del Neri.

Moggi feels previous top level management prohibited the club from making progress following their return to the top flight three years ago.

And he is confident the introduction of Agnelli and company mark the start of an important legacy.

"Finally we see a competent man at the helm of Juventus. Agnelli is one who understands football having followed his father, who was president of Juventus," Moggi told Nuovo Spazio Radio.

"It's a good thing because the club has appointed people who understand football."

Moggi expects to see a return to the good times as he explains what the club can expect under Del Neri.

"He is a good coach, not a phenomenon, but surely he is a good coach. As for Marotta, he understands football.

"They are intelligent people and they will do well at Juventus."

 I knew Delneri would flop, but didn't know Marotta, because he hadn't worked for a big club before:tup:

Secco overpaid for players A LOT, but at least he tried to sign players who had good seasons in their belts and didn't had a fixation with italian players.

Wether said players were suited for Juventus system and coach(es) is a whole other story.

Thats true though.

Tiago = A star in France
Poulsen = Regarded as best defensive midfielder in Spain
Amauri = Both us and Milan were fighting it out for him
Diego = A star that everybody was fapping over
Melo = A quality signing

To be honest, Marotta has to step it up in order to make 3rd place. Roma is challenging us right now with their new American owner and they already have a much, much better squad (and probably coach to with Ancelotti) than ours.
