Thats true though.

Tiago = A star in France
Poulsen = Regarded as best defensive midfielder in Spain
Amauri = Both us and Milan were fighting it out for him
Diego = A star that everybody was fapping over
Melo = A quality signing

To be honest, Marotta has to step it up in order to make 3rd place. Roma is challenging us right now with their new American owner and they already have a much, much better squad (and probably coach to with Ancelotti) than ours.
Roma don't have a 'much, much better' squad, also you can point to positives in the moves we made at the start of the season. Have a look at those players threads early on, says it all.

His fan boys will actually find an excuse to why he said that.
Everything happens for a reason, right? The problem is, they are having trouble finding the reason now. Suddenly their messiah has a hiccup, perhaps they are waiting in the shadows until this all blows over.

there is no problem finding a reason, he said it before the mercato. you cant deny that marotta and dn know better football than secco and ferrara.

People here are so unfair with Marotta. Do you really think that he is the cause of all our problems ? I think he has done a good job this last year. Yes, a good job, because unlike Secco he had no budget. He had to make his own resources, selling players or sending them on loan in order to bring new players. He also reduced a lot the wage bill and didnt give to the players he brought astronomical wages as his precessor, who left him a massively overpaid team.
He had some mistakes, sure. Every director has, and if you work without a budget you are going be more prone to mistakes.
I am happy with this project and think that is going to be successfull in the long term. But you have to give it time, you cant transform the mess Secco left us in only one season.

Spare me. He ousted Diego, Trezeguet, Giovinco, and Camoranesi, all of whom would've been of use this season. For someone who "didn't have a budget", he liberally threw away 12 million euros in an event that will be forever known as the Great Catania Swindle.

As for the wage bit, Juventus was still paying for Trezeguet's salary even though he was in Spain. After realizing that this team didn't have a proper finisher, Marotta brings in Luca Toni and pays him astronomical wages. Now he's going to bring in a washed-up injury-prone Andrea Pirlo and pay him astronomical wages. How is this considered progress?
