He had no budget. Of course he would have loved to bring Glen Johnson (something he tried, by the way), but when you have no budget you have to bring just average players.
Glenn Johnson? Really?

Because he threw our budget on uselessness called Martinez and Pepe, overpaid for Bonucci. And instead of strengthening the LB and RB positions, he bought Storari, only to sell him at the end of the season! Couldn't he loan a Goalkeeper or just use Manninger?

He just fucked it up.

Well, Glen Johnson is a very good RB and would do wonders with Krasic in the right wing. You are only naming there the bad moves of Marotta. Although I dont think that Marotta has to be blame for the likes of Motta or Barzagli, that is what happens when you are not given money to invest.
What about Aquilani, Krasic, Quagliarella, Matri and getting rid of some of the tumors the Secco put in the team ? I hope that now he finishes the business and gets rid off Amauri, Iaquinta and Melo. Plus some others are finishing contracts so we are going to be able to free the wage bill.

he overpaid for every single player, fucked around the krasic deal for 2 months only to get him for what was initially asked and sold everyone on a discount, not to mention his masterpiece Martinez
He seemed to have done a very good deal with Aquilani, Quagliarella and Poulsen. Even if we dont buy Aquilani because we are bringing Pirlo, we had an international player in our team for a year and we just have to pay his wages (which are cover by selling fucking Poulsen for 6M, what a robbery).

what international got to do with anything? we still have to go out there and buy a midfielder who could have benefited from playing with the squad this year. Aquilani was never a very good deal. And quag was a way over priced plan b scramble.

This man should leave immediately. They've brought us Italy's biggest patriot, the man is crazy and obsessed with the Italian football. After last season's fetish of Italian players he has already gotten us 3 new Italians for next season in Conte, Pirlo and Pazienza. And if anybody is surprised or think its just a coincidence then look at how he built his Sampdoria.

Luca Castellazzi
Matteo Guardalben
Mario Cassano
Marco Storari
Pietro Accardi
Stefano Lucchini
Marco Rossi
Vasco Regini
Fabrizio Cacciatore
Daniele Gastaldello
Reto Ziegler
Daniele Mannini
Luciano Zauri
Fernando Tissone
Andrea Poli
Angelo Palombo
Stefano Guberti
Daniele Franceschini
Marco Padalino
Franco Semioli
Roberto Soriano
Nicola Pozzi
Giampaolo Pazzini
Stefan Šćepović
Emanuele Testardi
Antonio Cassano

There is only 4(!!) foreign players in his Sampdoria team. His team easily had the least amount of foreigners in the league.
