What valid reasoning? How are we gonna improve as a team without him? By getting Sandro and moving Asamoah in midfield? I love Asa, but please. Draxler? Please. No matter how you look at it, we're downgrading.
We're getting stronger.. Just give the team some time to match and there u can see we're upgrading..

Newsflash, Vidal has been our best in overall considering the last 4 years in total, he was mediocre last season, due to messed up injury making him play half the player he was for the first awful half of the season. But he went back to his usual level defensively february and onwards , and had basically top level International performance that culminated in a title due to his efforts.

And dfuh he is obviously the engine of the team, kind of effort and box to box effortlessly top class player he has been for a long time doesnt just go away over night. Did you want to sell him before it even became a hint of a news that it was happening? If you say yes, then you have a point for saying stuff like the above, but if no, then you are just adjusting to seeing the positive in it just because it happend, not because its something you wished for, anyone who did its ludicrous really.
Putting you histrionics aside I'm not disagreeing that he was our best player in the last few seasons, but only that last year he struggled quite a bit and it's questionable whether he'll ever get back to his former self. If we wanted to sell him, now was the time. Probably our last chance to get decent amount for him. This can't be difficult to understand, can it?

We don't need Vidal from last season. What you actually want is 2013/14 Vidal, now that is entirely different matter. If he gets to his best at Bayern you'll get full credit.

Vidal was the best midfielder the first 3 seasons, had injuryissues in the 4th and lost his offensive output, but found his defensive output back, wich is quite frankly enough.

Be it a good move or not, reality is we did sold our overall best player of the past 4 years

This.

Selling him after his weakest season defenitely seems quite the wrong opportunity financially to sell him. And even then, after a weak season, we defenitely could have gotten alot more considering how ridicolous it is that now just decent players go routinely for 30m euros, level of players that used to cost 15. And you sell the best CM in past few years for 36m?

The fact that the injury effected him is obvious, but we saw him going back to his usual level gradually and became flawless defensively again. Very much doubt we are selling him because he isnt good enough...

so it's okay to sell vidal, because he is 28, had a meh season after a serious injury that he may never recover from (despite proving otherwise after an awesome tournament)

but khedira who is 28, recovered from a serious injury, and had a terrible season is going to be a good signing as his replacement.

are u guys serious? do u not see the hypocrisy?

Khedira is an absolute NOBODY compared to Vidal. Just an experienced role player who has been a cog in winning teams, hardworking passenger. While Vidal puts in the kind of performances that WINS you titles, seen that first hand.

oh the same people that said it's okay to sell him were the ones making fun of everyone around mid season when some people said vidal should be sold. they were the ones saying how shameful it is to turn on a player after one bad season, and that we are not true fans. now look at them

HYPOCRITES!
do you think anyone here is happy Vidal got sold? even from the club? do you think this wasnt discussed with Vidal and his agent contentiously over the last few days/weeks? do you think we havent contacted his agent to discuss a new contract since the current one expires in 2 years? do you think Marotta woke up, got a message from Vidal which says "i want Bayern" and was like "OK, flying to Munich to done deal this"? do you think this management would go out and sell one of its key players after stating several times that "we arent selling our best players UNLESS THEY REQUEST TO LEAVE" (capslocking this second part for Klin and JCK specially, since they like to repeat the 1st half of that statement so much, yet like to completely ignore the 2nd) and look like idiots afterwards? do you think that Marotta, after they agreed eevrything with Vidal and his agent already, can say to Bayern "but Sterling was sold for 50M to the biggest money wasters out there, why cant you Bayern, a club that always cared about their finances and never went full retard with their spendings give us atleast that"? do you think everything is as simple as you and Klin are imagining it? do you Lion? do you?

Every juventino is now hurting, Lion, for losing Vidal.

Some choose to slag off our management for the sale, others want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That's the only thing that's going on here. No more, no less.

We don't know why Vidal is going. Could be a number of reasons, one being that he asked to leave, which really leaves us with no choice. Then there are other reasons that include his off the field behavior. We don't know what he's like away from the pitch. Maybe Marotta does and this latest incident was just the final nail.

No one on this board would have sold him in his peak form, even for 100M. So we have to stop with that theory. If last year was the start of Vidal's decline then we have to sell now. It looked like his athleticism returned as his knee got better but his offence was still nowhere to be found, that must be said. Vidal without the offence is a very different player.

If Vidal didn't ask to leave and his character off the field is better than it seems, and it turns out that we sold him on our own accord, it's a big gamble - I agree.

But no one is going to pay 60M for him with the injury, his offence nowhere to be found, and his drinking and driving. Yes, we did not get as much for him as we could have gotten at his peak (when no one in their right mind would sell) but in a year it's ALSO possible that we could be left with a damaged player worth nothing.

Ultimately you have to see who replaces Vidal and how the TEAM functions in the upcoming season without him. If you add a #10, move Asamoah to CM and buy a good young LB, it's possible our team does not miss Vidal. This is the ultimate wait and see scenario for me.

How about we all just calm down, see who comes in, then see how the team does?

Remember the meltdown when Allegri came in? Marotta, Paratici and Nedved know what they're doing.

I love Vidal, but people spent half of last season saying he'll never recover from his knee injury.

Selling him for €40m, at the age of 28, and getting Draxler plus a FB is not bad business.

and now reports about us seeing Götze and Isco as too expensive. Then why the hell sell the best box to box midfielder in the world?
If he sells Vidal he better bring this team something to make up for it, and that something needs to be on the same level as Vidal. But I doubt that will happen since there is literally nothing out there for reasonable money that can replace what Vidal brought.

Marotta dropped the ball on this one.

i think my story is far more realistic that yours (if you even have one, except for "we sold Vidal, fuck management, were screwed")

but i will agree with Zach here. lets wait for the official press release from the club before attacking/defending anyone. everything we are doing now is all based more or less on speculation
