There isn't any justification for selling Vidal.

It's our worst market move in years, the only way of softening the blow is signing a true number 10, but I'm afraid this won't happen and we'll be left scrambling at the end of August for Cuadrado or Rotovic.

No one is reaching to justify the sale. No one is trying to discredit Vidal or make up fantasies about him. But there are pros and cons about the player just like there are everything in life.

It's undeniable that as the season went on Vidal got stronger. His athleticism returned and he was back to destroying everything that moved. He was running like 2 men just as he had at his peak form. But on the other side, the offence didn't return. That fact is shown in the statistics and by watching his play.

On one side you have a player that in his peak form is arguably the best CM in the world. And on the other side, well, he almost killed himself and his wife this past off-season. So if you acknowledge his virtues, you have to acknowledge his transgressions.

If you choose to put aside objectivity and ignore what a player might do in the future because of what he has done for you in the past... well.. one day you wake up like Inter did and you find yourself with absolutely $#@!ing nothing. These players are not immortal. Sometimes there are warning signs staring you right in the face.

Personally, I always thought this is what separated us from Inter and Milan. Our ability to keep the team moving regardless of who's in the side. This is why I choose to wait and see instead of jump off a bridge.

My first reaction is that I do not want to sell Vidal. But this is not a dead end for Juventus.
am totally with you.

yes, while you do the same mistake every summer. Beppe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> JCK
I actually never asked to take his job, I know I am totally not qualified. But if you want to justify selling him for half his value then be my guest. You can go on and suck Marotta's dick for doing that for all I care. I will not support this move no matter how you and your likes sugar coat it and come up with excuses to make it look ok. I will also enjoy your posts when you justify selling Pogba when that time arrives. I will enjoy your posts most compared to any other posts. Those that will show your blatant hypocricy.

there is no justification or such. if a player wants to leave you sell him. same with Pogba and Morata if they ask to be sold. now if you were so kind and explain to me how is this hypocrisy, and not a realistic output on this, i would be very thankful

Dybala, Khedira, Mandzu, quality #10 in arrival. Not good enough for you?
If the #10 is Draxler then we've seriously weakened on the market.

It would have been a different story had we kept Vidal.

But notice the change in their tone, Os. A few days ago they were bragging that Juve, unlike Porto, Atletico and Dortmund, don't sell their best players. Vidal was considered one of our best players a few days ago. Now he's past it.
I actually don't get certain justifications. Some seem to think its knee jerking, they think we are second class Juve fans to to question this move. Everything is justified because Juve comes through everything. I wonder, what it would take for them to actually realise when a move or action on part of the club is questionable. What kind of move is that? Because some here are deluded enough to think that we can do absolutely no wrong.

Lets wait untill the story about it comes out.

And there will be one, Marotta cant just go and "lol sold vidal".
What would you make of it, if we sold Vidal to sign Draxler? No Goetze. No Isco. No Oscar.

I really, truly hope that you are not talking about me.
I think your stance on this is pretty balanced. But I disagree with those who think this move is justified and the money is good enough. And that Beppe and the board can do nothing questionable. Why can't we as objective people take here things case by case and call them for what they are? We can wait and hear the club's take on this, the players take, and finally the club's next move before judging it, but if Vidal has been sold for a rumoured Draxler move, then I'm sorry, but we as fans have been wronged after the season we just had.

Vidal was the best midfielder the first 3 seasons, had injuryissues in the 4th and lost his offensive output, but found his defensive output back, wich is quite frankly enough.

Be it a good move or not, reality is we did sold our overall best player of the past 4 years
Absolutely.

so it's okay to sell vidal, because he is 28, had a meh season after a serious injury that he may never recover from (despite proving otherwise after an awesome tournament)

but khedira who is 28, recovered from a serious injury, and had a terrible season is going to be a good signing as his replacement.

are u guys serious? do u not see the hypocrisy?
I see it bro. It's sad.

Because Marotta never makes a mistake.
I really want to know what would need to happen for some people here to admit that Marrotta has made a mistake. A Vidal sale for 35m couldn't do it, wonder what will. :D

Sadly, we are going to be looking at guys like Cuadrado and Draxler, and if we aim for the stars, we may just about land Oscar after which everybody's rose tinted glasses will be back on, when he would absolutely be nowhere close to the personality we just sold.

Marotta assembeld a clu (coaches and players) who won us 4 consecutive titles and a CL final so excuse me for having all the faith in his dealings in this mercato. besides who is Vidal? I've seen far better players come and go; guess what? Juve is still the number one team in Italy

well of course marotta is going to present a reason to why he decided to sell but that doesn't have to mean that we should accept it.
I said earlier IF the reason we are selling is because of his DUI in Chile we will never hear either said honestly say it out loud. Another reason will be drafted and leaked to the media to ensure no shit storm ensues.

:edit: its already a shit storm.

'Where' do you 'wear' them? :D

You feeling any differently about the move, with the Draxler links?
I wear :)oops:) pretty much everywhere. :D

I am waiting on my cousin in German that IS a heavy duty Schalke fan to see what he has to say. I've always been wanting added pace but to be honest, his end products from the youtube videos looks like Gervinho's.

If Draxler comes, then we've been Husted, and I'm taking you off the Beppe bandwagon.
