Messed up big time with Vidal. People saying that Vidal is worth 35 million? In sales you don't sell a product based on much it's worth, you sell it on the pitch that you make. This rule especially relates to football, just look at how the likes of David Luiz etc. In Vidal, you had the best box to box midfielder in his generation, a champion who has just won the Coppa America. Not to mention that Bayern would have been desperate after the sale of Schweinsteiger. We should have played hard boil and sold at a much higher price. But of course there is more to this, no way is this all on Vidal. Moratta wanted to get rid him, no one sells a high calibure player in mere hours without it already been preplanned, it felt like Moratta couldn't wait until the offer arrived.

Please don't compare this sale to the time when Moggi sold Zidane. Back in 2001 45 million pounds was considered ridiculous, 35 million euros for Vidal in 2015 is a joke.

No,wait our 35 mil for Vidal are more than 60 mil,for a Ramos creep that Real are demanding. We are deluded .We just don't understand the expertise of this transfer and the real, but real value of our 35 mil.

I get the disappointment of losing someone like Vidal. I'm sad too.

But I know deep down that all will be well. Not just because I'm a Beppe fanboy, a Society soldier and because I go to the sauna sometimes to take it up the rear.

No.

Because I have witnessed us reaching a UCL final post-Calciopoli (when we were supposed to be down and out), and in the most moneycrazy era of football ever. Juve is destined for greatness. Always.

Now, undoubtedly, it also does help that we have good ol' Beppe Maximus Santangelo Trollotus at the helm. That just makes me even more secure about our future. Cause make no mistake: His track record is sublime.

We will certainly miss Vidal, but our future is bright and it will be fantastic and glorious. Yeah, there's been a lot of BIG changes this summer, but at least we don't have to worry about ending up like Milan with their "senators"; aging, becoming unmotivated, being on super high wages etc. which turned out to be a huge problem for them in the end, and effectively killed them off as our competition.

Think this was an easy move for Beppe? Beppe was the one who brought Vidal to the club. Beppe has been watching his crucial goals and performances time and time again from the stands, in wild jubilation. He also knows how much juventini love Arturo. But a Great Man sometimes has to make unpopular decisions for the greater good of the club; for our long term success.

Look at how many of his market moves have turned out to be pure gold for us. Vidal is one of them. But there are countless others.

I'm sad to lose Vidal, but there's absolutely no reason to think Marotta has lost the plot with this move. Knowing him, he's in full control. He knows what he's doing.
I firmly believe, and have thought for a while now, that we are switching to a 4-3-3 or some variation of it.

But in order for that to work, you need to have a more offensive LB, which Sandro would be.

That, in turn would have an overload of players for that position, so Asa would need to be moved into the midfield as a true LM in that formation.

But I wish that all of this could have happened without selling Vidal. But, we don't know all of the details yet, so I will refrain from reaching for the cyanide until there are more details.
:agree: with both

I think we will stick to the 4-3-1-2, it probably depends on whether we can secure an AM.
That is assuming that the 4-3-1-2 is the formation of choice.

With these links to Cuadrado and Draxler, it sure does seem like they are switching to a 4-3-3.

I don't even know how that would work. Where would Dybala fit in all of this?

If it is Draxler that is being looked at for the AM position I'm going to cry.
yeah, sorry, but all this is a bunch of crap.

it's clear allegri and marotta have no clue what to do this season.

overpaying for dybala with one year left. overpaying for zaza. the tevez fiasco.

it is 4-3-3, then why let berardi go? none of this makes sense. we lost our creative midfielder, on the verge of losing the team's engine and signed a back up for close to 20 million.

and still no playmaker.

Maybe you or I wouldn't, but if that is deemed egregious enough by your employers, then he didn't follow the rules that were set forth by said employers at the time of employment.

Again, none of us know what the reason is for him leaving, but it just seemed as if you were just brushing that aside.
Of course he broke the rules, Serge. He was fined. He had his driving license suspended for 2 years. Still it doesn't make sense to sell him over it. And even if they did sell him over it, why go straight to Bayern? Why note start a bidding war? Every top club would fight for such a player. It's still mid-July.

"Beppe's hands were tied" is gonna be the statement of this Summer.
oh yeah. at least sell him to chelsea or man city or arseanl. they would overpay for him 40-50m at least.

hell bayern is loaded. 50m should have been easy considering he had a great tournament.

This is what I have been saying for the past 36 hours.

Why not start a bidding war?

Unless, this is where Vidal wanted to go to, and we accepted the players wishes.

What's funny is that Sterling also wanted out, but Liverpool stood their ground and waited for City to meet their offer. We weren't capable of doing that, even when there's still another month and a half to go in the market.

This is all on Marotta.
How you dare! You can't even mention "gods' negatively and not even think to criticize them."Gods" never make mistakes. They are mistake less forever.

The way he handled Tevez and Vidal was sloppy

however he has a proven track record these past few years. I'm prepared to see what he'll come up with in the end

We handled this poorly, no matter if Vidal asked to be sold or not.

He's past it and you know it. I doubt he'll ever be as good as he was here 2 seasons ago. THAT player I wouldn't sell.
Why do I even try and have a conversation with you? He is coming from an amazing Copa America who won the MoM award in the final against Argentina., but yeah, he's past it.

It doesn't matter. It would hurt me a lot should this be true that he wanted to leave, but still doesn't justify how Marotta handled this. I'm sure we could've got better offers than 35M if we waited.

It isnt, at all. You dont sell your key engine and force of nature champion for any of those players, and a random nr 10 we cant even name yet..
It would have been a different story had we kept Vidal.

But notice the change in their tone, Os. A few days ago they were bragging that Juve, unlike Porto, Atletico and Dortmund, don't sell their best players. Vidal was considered one of our best players a few days ago. Now he's past it.

There's no conversation, only you acting like a prepubescent kid. I'm sure you and buddy of yours have a better insight what this club needs than people actually running it and have vast experience in top mgt to back this.

so now people are saying because vidal asked to leave it's okay to sell him for a peanuts.

just like same people said same about tevez.

next you know people will say it's okay to sell pogba for 40m because he asked to leave. and i guess we can sell morata too since he will ask to leave this mess for sure.

and so the domino effect begins. this is why u at least pretend to put up a fight that u want to keep the player. like i said after tevez, we just proved juventus can be anyone toy. just entice the player, and whoop no resistance.

Of course it would hurt me too. And the only way this works for me is if Gotze is somehow involved in the deal. But I thought that the offer was 40 including bonuses?

But as far as waiting for other offers to arrive, it is not very common for clubs to come out and announce that a player is for sale. More often than not, and you know this, teams make inquiries for certain players that aren't even perceived to be on the market. In fact you get more clubs saying that certain players are not for sale than saying that they are.

Sure, I would have loved to see them get 50 million for him. Most definitely. My first option is for him not to leave at all. What team out there, theoretically would have taken him? Real Madrid already publicly came out and said they were not interested. Arsenal basically said the same. Barcelona don't need him. Other english clubs? Possibly, but that would have meant that Juve would have had to state that he was available, which is not their style.

It is all just confusing.
