You guys keep worrying about the numbers crunch as accountants, me personally I'm just gonna be happy we sign a top class 22 year old italian goalie without a transfer fee, who we can have as key part of the team for decade plus going forward.


I would compare this amount of negativity of us signing him, to if Bayern Munich fans were crazy enough to cry about signing a young Neuer for free from Schalke (except Neuer was 3 years older then donna is now, and Milan way bigger club, so more telling to get their cornerstone player).

Imagine that - a player wants to make as much money as possible and doesn't want to stay in a team that has bottled CL qualification for how many years now and instead wants to go to a team that is much better.

He doesn't have to stay here for his whole career. He will either be sold for huge money like Pogba was or nobody will pay him that much and he'll stay here.

I just never got the Raiola hate. He's an employee of his players, not the other way around. He does what an agent is supposed to do, get his players paid. It is up to the players to decide how much they want to get paid and how much they want to stay somewhere. And also up to the club to make sure they are in the best position possible to pay that player or earn some money from him ie. sell him before expiring.

Not just midfield but at fullback as well. Another year of Sandro is going to be disastrous. But I guess Raiola and Donnarumma will solve those problems.

Ramsey and Rabiot are among the highest earners at Juve. They invested 20m+ in McKennie. Then there’s Arthur. Most of them haven’t worked out, but that’s not really the argument. Money has been dumped into the position.

If Dybala can get 15m from a different team then it makes sense that he asks for 15m. I don't think he is worth 15m amd don't think the club should offer it as there are enough ways to replace him, but if that is what he is worth for other teams then let him go for it. It has little to do with Donnarumma.

Because it'll eat up a lot of money to bring him here, even if he's "free" and will eventually lead to the midfield being neglected once again.

Also IF he get's roughly €10m now, imagine that already crazy number will only go up in the future. Or it's Mino waving goodbye to us. So dreaming of him as some bandiera that could be here for a decade+ is a bit premature.

Overall I think sinking money into a goalkeeper when there are much more pressing issues is just...somethting we do here I guess.

The 20 million is pretty meaningless. We made a 43 million capital gain on Pjanic, but recorded Arthur at 72 million, so that nets out at about 30 million. Additionally, he is going to cost us 20 million a year in amortization. Absolutely absurd numbers especially looking at his contribution so far.

We don't know yet whether or not Ronaldo will leave. But giving the goalie position a 3,5 million upgrade is one of the last things we need now... Unless you count the necessary plusvalenza but then again there's nothing like an actual "free" agent.

Is anyone actually against replacing Tek with Donnarumma though or just concerned that our limited budget could be better put to use in areas that need it more

Because we have financial problems while we desperately need midfielders NOW. We've been neglecting midfield for years.

It's actually very obvious we've been doing it wrong by always choosing those 'market opportunities' over actually filling in our needs. And that seems exactly what's going on here... again...

Selling Szczesny and giving Dollar a signing fee, the only financial impact we have is a increase in wages probably. But we get a quality boost (Szczesny isn’t that great, he’s good but not world class, Dollar is better IMO), and we could sell Dollar for a lot more in the future.

Get what you mean. However, even if we rescind his contract, the book value is all that matters, which is 70 million.
