any1 seen totti's penalty on van der saar(euro 2000)?
note:buffon is nothing compared to van der saar in stopping penalties
Are we talking about Van der Sar? Edwin Van Der Sar? Currently at Man Utd? The one that hadn't saved a single international penalty until the EC 2 years ago? That one?

Yes but Zizou's PK was something magical , out of this world :smoke:
Only thing is...it barely went in. By a meter or so. If it had bounced right back out, everyone would've been laughing at him.

Regardless, Zizou took France to the WC finals, and he is a footballing legend.

He was supposed to be very good, that's why Juve bought him, but he seemed to be..... not unhappy exactly... more tense. IMO, he was a good player, but not as good as Peruzzi & Buffon is superior to Van der Saar by far. I would even prefer Andy's Chimi to Van der Saar.:D

Unfortunately for Edwin he made some big errors when he was at Juve...and also Juve did not win Scudetto in his time...came 2nd twice to Lazio , Roma in those days so he was made a scapegoat...I think he is still an excellent GK...plus it doenst help that he is not Italian...

By that logic, it might aswell had come 2 cms below the crossbar, you know.
It went in, period. And it woulda won France the cup had Materazzi been a footballer and not a dirty scumbag. :yuck::faq2:
