I like that there is more diversity in movies and TV but I don't like the obvious critical praise and awards that are threw at these movies and shows that tackle race or sexuality. It's like we get what your doing is great and edgy but that doesn't make it anything more special it have higher quality just because it tackles these issues.

including politics/ agendas in your film is no substitute for quality.

It just seem to be a writers easy way out of a creative block. It's also Oscar bait so producers probably push it.
certainly people are using that to paper over the cracks of a bad piece of film/ tv. I've also noticed it in television comedy too. Late night shows, "news" shows in the form of John Stewart's old show etc don't even write jokes anymore they just dump on Republicans or play a clip of what Trump said today. People watch because they agree with it not because its actually any good. Its lazy and it gets boring fast.

It seems the more power and equality was given to the black people the more drama and shouts (movies as well) there are. I actually thought it would quiet down a bit.
I think you’re right on the first part but it makes sense that it didn’t quiet down and instead increased. A lot of younger black people that may be involved in filmmaking have stories to tell. The Rosa Parks incident happened in 1955. MLK would still be alive today if he hadn’t gotten assasinated. These events and people started the civil rights movement and it was very recent. Black people in the US still get discriminated against.

until there is actual equality, I see this continuing and maybe it’s part of what it takes to level the playing field.

Watchmen finale was much easier to follow and cleared up alot of questions from earlier episodes.

Jeremy irons is amazing but I'm not a fan of the female lead I don't think she suits the character.

Just finished The Terror: Infamy

It started strong, struggled for 2-3 episodes inbetween but found itself towards the end. Definitely worth your time if you like a ghost story that's rooted in a somewhat different setting. Also it stars George Takei and he actually says 'oh my' once.

Not the finale, the finale is next week.

Angela is there to represent us viewers, she is there to react to the craziness for ordinary people with her well placed wtf? and Motherfucker

And yeah, fantastic episode, I CANNOT believe I saw a full episode of Dr Manhattan in all his glory  (full romantic human origin story for the most inhuman apathetic superhero ever LOL). Being shown a being that can experience his whole existence at the same time every time. TV is going places man.
