You just have to watch the trailer to realize how shit that show is. The Danish channel showing the series here is further prove for me.
Nothing worse than other super-hero stuff that is coming out.

I understand those who are not fan of it but it's usually those who hate all the super-hero stuff, even Batman (which was great).

2 episides into True Detective, and I like it.

I't's probably the darkest series I've ever watched in terms of general atmosphere, Themes and nonexistent comedic relief, and I did almost get kinda pessimistic while watching it :D

The two main characters are both complex and interesting, Cohle perhaps coming across as slightly too contrived, but it still hits the line between too ordinary and too unrealistic very well imo. Especially with him there's also a lot of excellent dialogue, well in line with his character, which defenitely was one of the highlights for me so far.

The narrative structure kinda reminds io a movie and seems a bit uncommon for a TV series, but works out well in the context. Btw @Dule90, do you know how they'll plan on continuing the show after the initial mistery is solved? So far, it focuses very much on that specific situation, it seems hard to imagine the show going on afterwards.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes tommorow.

Arrow is epic and Slade Wilsok aka Deathstroke is the best part of the show so far.

There are strong rumours that next episode has Harley Quinn :shifty:.

Keep watching and you'll fall in with it. :D Like E said, there's a thread: http://forum.juventuz.org/threads/39197-True-Detective

But then again, don't enter it until you watched all the episodes, so you don't spoil it. As for the show itself, I really have no idea what will have later on.

Anyone planning to watch "Believe"?

Seems interesting, I'll probably give it a try. If anything, to see how J.J. Abrams does.

I watched the first episode of Black Sails. It might be early to comment on it but based on what saw I didn't like it at all. Storyline seem decent at best, acting was far from good while characters were dull as hell and rather repulsive. I don't know if I'll keep watching or I'll just find something else.

I also watched all Vikings episodes and it's pretty good, I like it.

Person of Interest is good in my books, but not all that great, at least the first 5 episodes that I watched. I found it gets pretty repetitive quickly.

True Detective is one of the best shows I have ever seen. The last couple episodes are a bit more conventional than the first 5 or so, but it doesn't hurt the show one bit. It's right up there with 'The Wire' and 'Game of Thrones' and some of the best I've ever seen.
