Ok, I have reached the point where it really is dry. I finished The Wire a couple of days ago and I have kept it as a backup until such a day. It was really really great, I enjoyed the extremely dark humour, the realism, the irony of certain things and the events that you cannot avoid.

The question is, what to watch now....
Game of Thrones

You can try Oz, if you haven't watched it already. The first few seasons are really good.

OK, this week's Workaholics -- about their common-law marriage and all the animal cruelty in the episode -- was epically awesome.

The first few seasons of Oz were awesome. I loved the show, it was so different from anything else at the time. But it went to hell the last couple of seasons. I remember one episode they were all sitting around the common room watching TV and they were talking about all the other HBO shows that were on at the time like Sex and the City. It was the lamest thing I had seen them do and I lost a lot of respect for them after that. lol

Oz... That one is really great show, and somewhat similar to The Wire, in quality and depth.
Pump your brakes. Oz doesn't even come close to the wire. Not even in the same time zone. And I liked Oz, but The Wire is the greatest TV drama of all time. The only thing that rivals it is Game of Thrones, but that can't be judged since that show is still in production.

Started watching Black Sails. I have to say, I really enjoy it. Read a lot about pirates when I was younger, so it's interesting to see them come alive on the small screen.

Makes me a rarity then. Sweet!

I envy you. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Hit up the TD thread after you're done with the season.
I was super stoned when watching the first 3 episodes, so don't remember all that much except that I like Matthew's philosophical dialogues. I'm gonna watch more of it just for that.

It's very enjoyable, surprisingly so. I hope it survives long enough that we can see the rise of John Silver.

Is that the show with that wop guy who goes to the North to flee a murder investigation?
Nah... the based-on-a-true-story Coen Brothers TV series influenced by their earlier movie.

Two words... Black Beard...
They already have Silver, Hornigold, Vane and Jack Rackham as notable pirates, so I'm corious when they will cast Edward Teach aka Black Bird into the series.
