This happens a lot, it’s a very bad thing. It happened during last elections in The Netherlands aswel: https://www.ad.nl/politiek/vvd-minister-cora-van-nieuwenhuizen-stapt-op-en-wordt-lobbyist~a1fabdea/

They should make regulations against this. After a career in politics you shouldn’t be able to work for certain lobby’s for a x-amount of years. The advantage create for the lobby is insane.
Lobbying :touched: legalized way to give bribes :touched:
VVD veteran
"Van Nieuwenhuizen has been Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management since 2017."
"As of 1 October, she will become chairman of Vereniging Energie-Nederland, the industry association of energy companies. That club represents Shell, Eneco, RWE, GasTerra, Vattenfall, BP and Essent, among others. Russia's Gazprom is also a member of the trade association."
 amazing

Yea, corrupt politicians. This has been a awful case aswel: https://healthwatch.eu/nl/hoe-de-ma...tonnen-verdient-over-de-ruggen-van-patienten/

Minister of Health married to a guy who’s company finds loopholes in the law in order to find ‘good’ patients for health institutions, enriching them self in that way.

Those people just don’t have moral values.

There is simply no way that the same person can be PM or president can go for 4,5,6 or 7 terms, its not democracy, it's bullshit, look at germany - Merkel made Germany a slave to Russian gas
Term limits serve a purpose, and most often that purpose is that any politician who gets fat and comfortable with ruling power ends up becoming detached from the people they serve, more corrupt, infiltrated with cronies, and surrounding themselves with yes-men who will naturally satisfy the human desire for power to hear what it wants to hear ... not what it needs to hear.

Yes, but even in America they don't a have 100% democracy and transparency - before Trump I never knew that the president of the USA can hire his own kids and his siblings to work for him in the office, it's unbelievable that you can do it as the president

Interesting that. I would have thought him running would have significantly split the right-wing vote.
Zemmour lost almost all his momentum once the war in Ukraine started. One of the reasons is maybe because he wouldn't accept Ukrainian refugees. Another one might be because it removed spotlight from him and his ideas

Germany. Don't get at all what you are on about.

We have free elections, and if people want the same old fart for the 10th time in a row - they shall have him.
Here the liberal government has made a coalition so that Trudeau stays in power until 2025. The alternatives were not any better, but I hope the Conservatives get their shit together, else we'll have the same PM elected forever.
