I would agree with you if The Mountain would just won the duel straight way. That would be very true to everything I've seen before in that show. But the way of "the beaten evil guy suddenly attack with his last effort" makes it very different imo and somehow forced. Like I said though, it's just how I feel about this whole fight. It was a bit different in the books from what I heard and made a bit more sense.
I'm with you here. The way Oberyn died was too Hollywood-esque.

martin is not concerned by good vs bad, i believe the deconstructing of that duality is one of the main themes of the show, also how absurd everything, religion hopes ethics..., is. I think the beetle story is the best testament to that.
people shouldve learnt by now that there's no 'good' or 'bad' guys. everyone have motives and everyone can die just like in real life world.
you will enjoy the show better if you have this mindset.
a whiff of common sense - what a breath of fresh air it is in these waters :D

The above is the best thing about this show, as far as I am concerned ... that and also the appearance of dragons, vampires and similar otherworldly shite kept to a minimum. If not, GoT would have been just another LOTR-type, fantasy-fairy-tale drivel.

I don't see Tyrion dying to be honest. Something will save him.
yep, the plot :D

Oberyn, Tyrion,

episode 9 up next, more deaths? I can't take it
Yeah, they will only be showing the Wall next episode. The battle. The Nights Watch vs Wildlings.

one of tyrion's family will save him. his brother or his father will let him escape at night.
His father hates him, he wants him dead too. Just like Cersei. :D
