Wether she had feelings for Rhaegar or not is unclear (seems like she did), but the kidnapping part seems to be true, since she was whisked away without anyones approval to Kings Landing apparently.

Yeah that would be kinda dumb by Ned indeed, but as we learned on every turn, he was fairly stubborn and not so smart man.
Read this spoiler if you want to hear more thoughts on the Snow theory. No spoilers at all, just talking about events that happened before the series timeline.

Ned Stark was not a man for intrigue. He likely thought it better to take the blame himself rather than involve his wife in this incredible secret. Going from the theory, if Jon Snows life depends on everyone believing he is Ned Starks bastard, then why let anyone in on that secret who doesn't have to be? Catlyn would never harm him, since he could never take her sons (Robb) position as Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North as a bastard. But she also can't tell anyone what she doesn't know. Jon Snow's life is assured if he is known as Lord Eddard Stark's bastard. But if it becomes known that he is Rhaegar Targaryan's bastard???? (Just a theory)

Wat? The wall was build because of them.
Burke is just one Big troll in here. Can't tell if he knows everything or nothing.
No, what I meant was that scene at the end of the show where that White Walker breeds another White Walker by touching him. A lot of that BS isn't in the books, allegedly, but RR Fat Martin Beard Fuck had to have approved of it.
