Its pleasing to see the young archangel has cemented a starting place at Pro Vercelli, and I will be following his progress with excitement this season, still assuming that the potential seen in him at Resende was huge, strong enough to warrant signing his brother in the same deal purely just to give Gabriel some familial company as he gets adjusted to Italy and been away from home in general. Strong enough to win a couple of awards in a regional brazilian league with some quality teams involved, at 17 years old...now we can see what he can achieve in the second tier of Italian football, playing in his regista/anchorman role (from what I gather), with Masi nearby as a Juve connection and encouraging voice. Is he involved with the brazilian international youth setup??? Also...Is Bonatini???

It would be wicked to see Gabriel develop into a left footed, more combative Pirlo. Why not continue to dream eh????

as I had written; I was referring to his time at his previous club, Resende, when and where he won two awards - 'best newcomer to the Carioca Championship' and also 'second highest ranked midfielder'. A regional league indeed, but nonetheless, one which includes some top class opposition such as...Vasco di Gama, Flamengo, Botafogo...and it was when casting a welcome shadow over the gruesome smile of Ronaldinho, last year, when young Gabriel's star seemed to gain added brightness..

yes, mate...your post got me thinking...and I recalled that it was early 2011 when we first, perhaps, put an agreement in place to sign him and his brother, but due to his age, we had to wait until he turned 18 before sealing the deal officially. He spent the second half of last season officially a part of our primavera, then was loaned out to Pro Vercelli this summer, in a deal which allows Pro Vercelli to co-own at the end of the season, but rather than see this as a lack of belief on our part, I see it more as a fairs fair move towards Pro Vercelli. The teams who play our kids, develop them, deserve something for their investment...sometimes its enough for them to have the services of ultra talented youngsters, sometimes they require a little more, such as a co-ownership fee which can be decided long before the blind auction arrives. Potential ownership of 50% of a player's registration is added incentive to the loanee club to nurture and develop our player.

Indeed...I notice dalso, Furino but focused instead on my striker analysis this week rather than a write-up of out co-owned/loaned players. Especially our Serie B lot are mainly either injured or not getting selected. Gabriel has been out for a while now, and it will be great to see him playing regularly again as prior to the fracture he was doing very well indeed for the plucky Vercelli team. Buoy is once again in the treatment room. Masi yet to make his Ternana debut...I'll bring the other thread up to speed later today.

It should be a brilliant experience, especially as I have not been to many of those places previously and have been away from Europe since 2008. All that needs to be sorted out now is a dog/room/garden minder. My hound, Oscar, is very accustomed to my company and also that of my Lady. I'll be no doubt teary to turn my back on the little fuker and bid him aur revoir! Which is why it's immensely important to me to find the best possible fit for him. I couldn't care less if I returned to find the garden a mound of scorched earth, my room painted pink, the bed cut to shreds, the computer riddled with the worst kind of porn imagineable, but I am ferociously determined to make sure the little tyke is kept safe and engaged daily with warmth and play.

Its like leaving half my heart behind, but I am sure he will be fine...Dogs, even the eccentric, regal, haughty, spiteful canine characters, are more resilient than I often perceive.

Good to hear. I've been good myself, it was interesting to see Juve pick up a talent from Norway. There was huge media coverage here for Sakor.
