I think we need at least 5 forwards.

I say keep Quag and Matri, as long as they're not needed for other players.

Vucinic, Giovinco, Quagliarella, Matri, RVP/Dzeko/Pazzini. :D

They take a lot of criticism - and yes we need more quality up front - but I'm still interested in seeing how the chemistry develops between these two. Might want to skip the first 15 seconds.

Match winners against Lecce and Fiorentina...and against Udinese.

13 points isn't bad, no?

Could have been 16 points if one of his goals wasn't disallowed against Bbilan
That ain't bad.

The game would have ended diffrently against Milan if his goal was allowed.

Still i can name many, where he always should have been match winner.

Matri shouldnt be our starter but I dont see anything wrong with him as a sub
If you look at our forwards you realise we only have 1 finisher (good or not you decide for yourself).
If we get RVP which I dont think will happen we will have 2 finishers which could be useful.
If we sell Matri and get RVP or some other finisher it wont be the end of the world but Its best we have at least 2 finishers available for selection

as opposed to our usual game, they had more of the possession than us. We were pretty much countering most of the times. (think Roma's match in tim cup)
They did break our defence a couple of times but denied by Marco (some amazing saves and fantastic game overall) and hit the bar once.

Lucio : still a disaster in 3man D (not sure if he's still injured, but doesn't look good for him)
Marrone : no major fck up in defence, not the bset in aerial battles and didn't play the ball wisely for what's supposed to be the regista of our D
Licht : Excellent, dude can play that RCB role alright
Padoin : meh , did have 2 assists but couldn't make simplest of passes at times
Vidal : tried risky passes whole night, didn't work , wasn't his day
Pirlo : pretty bad
Marchisio : ok with some good moments (not fit like the rest of Azzurri boys)
Asamoah : LWB obvisouly not his position especially when it comes to his crosses (only delivered once which Matri missed the target), but he's got great understanding, calm and collected on the ball
Gio : decent overall , showed some great vision, shrugged off the ball a few times, but doesn't concern his overall play like it used to tbh. Did have an impact and impressive with quick linking up and his touches. Still needs to try to be a bit more imaginative for the role. some sick passes tho.
Matri: missed a good chance (tho tbf after Asa's cross, ball did take an unexpected bounce before he hit it), nicely took his first goal (held of the D followed by a good turn) and fine darting run for his 2nd. Overall looked better than other matches which could be duo to Malaga playing high up.

last 15mins shet load of subs, from the ones I remember
Pogba : looking good
Quag : his form becoming a bit worrisome
Boakye : still not ready, way nerves to impose himself
Untersee : didn't do much but still composed , good pre season so far.

Overall our Fitness level could be a worry for this weekend supercoppa. That and our back three line-up.
