Again. ONE NEW PLAYER. Licht has been here over half a decade, how the fuck does he need time to gel? Rugani has deputized for both our CBs PLENTY OF TIMES. That needs absolutely no time to gel. Cuadrado is uber offensive and so is DC. What exactly has changed?

horrible excuse IMO.

I just don't think our players or management give two shits in these friendlies.

I'm just teasing. Didn't you say "not a good look for our season" just above?
Not good look so far because it's a huge technical / passing difference. When passing lanes cut off in midfield Bonucci could find Higuain or Dybala in a sea of defenders like no other. Now with high pressure in mid it looks like our CBs will do the predictable, pass side ways to each other and hope for the best. Nothing to break the pattern or dead lock. And then they become easier to pressure, and because of lesser ball retention ability it means more mistakes. It's fairly typical stuff.

It's never good look to become more predictable then you were. It's same when we play without Pjanic or Dybala, becoming a team that relies solely on wings alone because of what you currently have on is not up to unlocking in other way.

P. S I only mentionned Bonucci but Licht instead of super creatively /fluid problem solver like Alves will ofcourse be felt too. Hence why we need attacking RB quickly.

Khedira is terrible... anyone will be an improvment at this point.
Also, Dybala is just playing like he's not enjoying at all... what's up with that?? fucking commit to the cause

Also, Alves was injured for a huge part of last season where LICHT WAS THE RB. Probably the lamest excuse I've seen yet.

We simply don't care about this friendly, which is all fine and dandy if we just want to focus on fitness. But to say we need to gel with one damn player that is new :D

Sure. Point me to Bonucci and Dani Alves.
I just stressed how their qualities will be missed. But you still Bsing. This is not a new team, Licht has played here for 6 years FFS and Rugani is on his 3rd season. They should know the team like second nature.

Yeah. I don't think we need a Bonucci type CB, but if we don't have him, we can't also have technical/creative duds like Licht at RB, and Khedira as a starting mid (or Matuidi for that matter)... We'll have way too much trouble bringing the ball forward from the back. Especially considering Khedira and Licht play on the same side of the field.

He won't gel because he is a horrible player. With the players we have our RB spot is our weakest link.

Rugani isn't at Bonucci's level. Not even close.

Again. Wrong logic. Not one new player but 3 different starters. Our defense, which again was arguably the best in the world much because of the caliber of Bonucci and Alves, has been dismantled and replaced with so so players or simply inexperienced. That's what changed. This is DEFINITELY not the same team.
