Actually many people agreed that Zidane didnt put as much effort into his role at Juventus as he did at France.
Which is true, he was the better player when playing with the national side, but this does not mean he wasn't one of the Serie A stars at that time.

By the way, I've been waiting for hours for Tom to come up with the Opta stats..?
Sounds like one of us might just have a life :D

If you want opta stats so badly go find them. Its not hard, they'll show you I'm sure what a great player he is

This is laughable at best. Lampard is a great player indeed, and also seemingly a good guy, however there is really no comparison between the players and I think this is kind of an insult towards Zidane. The latter has been the player of the last decade and you have to place him in the upper echelon of football players throughout history...thus far Lampard falls into the same catagory as Zvonimir Boban. This talk is blasphemy of the highest order. If you are talking about who is on form now or who isn't...irrelevent in discussion concerning who is the better player. Zidane is was and always will be a better player than Frank Lampard. Period.

Do you want me to bring up all the opta stats that would be in favour of Lampard in this argument? Even though this has nothing to do with Ronaldinho? Ronaldinho either plays as a forward or an attacking midfielder? You'd expect him to be the more accurate finisher anyway, surely?
    Your suggestion... Just reminding you

What makes you think I don't have a life? So sad when people think that because one spends a while online means that one doesn't have a life. Look at it this way, I enjoy being here!

One more thing, why do you keep insisting that I said Lampard isn't a good player?

Lampard is miles better than Zidane at this point in time. In fact I'd go as far as saying he's probably the best player in the world (maybe ex. Ronaldinho) at present
are you comparing a 35 year old player with a 25 year old player , compare them when they were at the same age dude:(

The argument here is not being resolved because both sides are aguring different things. Can we not agree that Lampard is not, and will never be as skillful, graceful and elegant a footballer as Zidane was at his peak? At the same time, can we not agree that Lampard's scoring rate from midfield is so phenominal that he is arguably as effective a player for Chelsea as Zidane ever was, be it fro France, Juve or Real? They're seperate issues, but people here are shouting them at eachother as if they prove eachother untrue.
