of course it is. but at least my point is that at this time, lampard is better. he is the leader of the best team in the world right now. of course zidane is nearing the end of his career, but is still considered one the best players in the world right now. but frankie is better. he's second only to ronaldinho imo. and i really do not like him.
Are you delibrately missing the point Fli? The idiot who started the thread on BBC said Lampard is better than Zidane ever was.

That is the bone of contention. Not whether Lampard is better now.

Ronaldinho plays on the left, not exactly like Frank. about Kaka they're both good, I'd take Kaka anyday but right now Frank is leading the way.
It depends on what you're looking for. If you want a centre mid that can bang in the goals then Lampard is your man, but as far as playmaking ability goes there are better players than Lampard. Just to name a few: Ronaldinho, Kaka, Aimar, Totti and Riquelme.

Lampard is indeed better than Zidane at present, but better than Zidane ever was? Not a chance.

Agreed that Lampard is playing well in a pretty good side at the moment, but if anything, that is what makes his "achievements" and "skills" less worthy. Zidane carried teams of virtual no-hopers on his back for years. The only time he got to mix it up with world class players backing him up was when he moved to Real Madrid.

His France team mates at the height of his powers were nowhere near the establishments they are today.

I triple dog dare Frank Lampard to carry the England team on his back to a World Cup then a European Championship and then a Confederations Cup in succession.

We all know that will never happen.

Right, and Emile Heskey is the next Pele.

Why stop there? Phil Neville is the next Cafu, and Wayne Rooney is Maradona, Pele, Cryuff and Jesus Christ all rolled into one. I could go on ad nauseum.

It's things like this that make me pray England never win the World Cup in my lifetime. The unreasonable idiocy that would follow from the press would be enough to put anybody off football. I mean, look at all the fuss they made over winning the Ashes.

    comparing Lampard with Zidane?
Lampard is in a better form RIGHT NOW,but Zidane is very close to retire.although he is far from his best days but he still can make the difference and help France to qualify for the world cup.IMO comparing Lampard with Zizou of 1998-2002 is really funny.

«Zidane is better than Napoleon and there is no Waterloo to stop him»
