I'm sorry to hear about this. Ches, I hope that it is not as bad as you think. They were quick to spot this, so they might be able to nip it in the bud. Stay strong! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So, the verdict is in and it is rather depressive.

It's the same type of cancer as the previous one, an agressive, small-cell lung carcinoma.
    Prognoses:
If they do nothing, 3-6 months.

    Options:
Chemo that doesn't work: prognoses: 3-6 months
Chemo that work, max 5 years, but most people die in the first 3 years.

So it's not exactly the best start of the holiday season for me.

that's terrible. lost a family member last year to lung cancer. best advice: enjoy the time you have left with your father.

Really sad to hear that, Ches. It's not easy I know, but try to enjoy the times you have left with your father. My thoughts are definitely with you.

Sorry to hear, Ches. Stay strong, buddy, and make the most of the time you have together now.
    Will try, thank you
Sorry to hear that chester, stay strong!

Does your father happen to be a smoker? Maybe inapproriate to ask...
He used to be, he quitted about 15 years ago, but this indeed is thanks to all the cigarettes he smoked in his life, the docters said that, if he wouldn't have smoked, he wouldn't have gotten this type of cancer.
Sad to hear my friend I will keep you and yours in prayer.
    thank you
