Just finished my second season of Serie A. Lost a couple games in the first half of the season, I came through 2nd in my CL group (behind PSG) and ended up 7 points behind Inter after 18 Serie A games. I made a few tactical tweaks and went on to win every single competitive game in the 2nd half of the season (with the execption of Coppa Italia semi final against Atalanta using heavily rotated lineup). Inter were in the title race until the very last game (they lost it) and Lautaro Martinez had 41 Serie A goals :scared:

Now I'm looking to offload Bonucci, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Perin and Ihattaren and replace them with Ibanez, Dest, Gosens, Audero and one of SMS or Zaniolo

Ronaldo is crazy. About to finalize first season. So far Ronaldo has scored 41 goals in EPL alone. United has scored 65 so he is basically running their show.
I got curious and looked into their team and on paper they do look good, as expected. But as usually, English players remain so overrated. I got so annoyed I actually purchased the in-game license and edited Maguire according to my view on him. I was fairly generous though so he still a good CB, just not that WC some people make him out to be.
I have yet to see Wan-Bissaka manage a decent cross, so I lowered that too.
I also noticed they purchased Arthur for 11m from Juve in January. He looks fairly good, is he really that poor?
They also signed Patrick Berg from Bodo/Glimt, looks really good and exactly what they need. Will mentally save that name for future saves since he was fairly cheap.

Finished sixth, same points as Liverpool. Won 2-1 against them and 5-2 at home, last game of the season. But they had better GD. Won FA cup, beat United, Arsenal, Spurs, Wolves and then Leicester in the final. Went out early in Carabao against Brentford, lost on penalties.
Will finalize the signing of Gravenberch, really fancy him. Then see what bargains can be made to increase width. Zakaria wants a starting spot and I am not sure I am ready to promise him that. Is he really that good? Dallas and Klich has been doing really well in the role he would play (B2B).

I want to start a new game with a team that isnt great but also not terrible and improve them year after year - I was thinking about Serie A but am also open to La Liga and EPL.
    What do you suggest?

Leeds that I am playing with is a lot of fun. If you want cash then go with Newcastle. They have an insane budget, so I will probably try them out later. Otherwise maybe Villarreal? I played with Levante some years ago and enjoyed it. Or maybe go for Barca derby with Espanol?

I decided to go with Wolves but its quite annoying given the fact the players got angry at me at the first conference because I said they could qualify for the Euro Cup and they called me unrealistic and felt they arent that good.
They actually have a nice team.

They finished 15th in my save. :D
But yes, they have a good squad. Definitely superior to Leeds. But they sold Jimenez in my save to Wolves for 63m and didn't replace them. Still haven't. Unless they thought Nigel De Jong and Daniel Alves,, that they signed, would cover the loss of goals. Ok to be fair they got Munir who mustered four goals.

I am going desperate after a RB. Thought this would be the year for Shackleton. Three games in and two red cards, I was wrong. Will have to make due with Ayling if I must but would prefer someone better that isn't spiraling downwards.

Sergino Dest is working out well for me

Hasn't been an issue for me as I attack through the middle but even so he has already picked up a few assists for me. Doesn't need the highest crossing rating when his pace and knock ball past opponent allow him to create space for it.

Just squeezed past Liverpool into the CL semis and claimed my third successive scudetto Against Pool I dominated this first game, 2-0 victory at home, and played a frantic 2-2 away game. Loads of chances for both teams.

    Now PSG :scared:

From what I've found, defending deep doesn't work against these top sides. You've got to continue to attack or hold possession.

Didn't realize the away goal rule no longer counts in the CL knockouts until now. Just saved my bacon :baus:
