If I'm not mistaken: ENG, SPA & ITA. 3 direct qualifiers & 1 team in the preliminaries.
GER & FRA have 2 direct qualifiers + 1 prel. I think.
If that is the case, then I think it will eventually be Germany.

Why, you ask??

Revenue, Revenue, Revenue.

Those new staidums, and rebuilt stadiums that underwent drastic renovations is certainly a help to the Bundesliga.

Again, I hate to harp on the one common factor here, but its all about the money.

of course, anyone who thinks otherwise is ill-informed and naive

its also about revenue potential as well. these leagues have financial models and forecasts just like any other business and the better a league stands at turning out a revenue for an upcoming fiscal period, the more it will benefit those under its umbrella.

A strong Juve and a strong Milan is always good for Serie A and for Europe.

Who cares about Inter, they are a fucking joke in Europe

The difference between Milan, Juve and Inter in Europe are that while Milan and Juve are disliked, at least they are respected.
I agree, but still i was not against Kaka's move.maybe Milan will rebuild the team now with the money, who knows.

And i'm pretty sure it was Berlusconni and not Kaka's decision...i mean Kaka was alright with it,new place, new passion with new team, but IF they really wanted him to stay he would have stayed...maybe the financial situation there really sucks so much i dunno...

Money is definitely a big factor. Tradition also plays a part I think. I myself have never been to a country where football plays such a big part in society (economy even) than in Italy. (And yes I have been to Spain & Italy :))

You do have a point about the stadiums though. Those in Italy are mostly a joke.

And that is where teams that own their own stadiums have a distinct advantage.

THEY are the ones that control everything, and have the wherewithall to give the paying consumer an experience, one that will make them want to come back. Yes, in the end it is all about the product on the field, but if you walk into a staidum that has a great atmosphere, amenities that suit your needs, a feeling of safety and security, a REASON to want to come back, then you are much better off in the long run.

One hand washes the other in that case.

Seriously, I take a look at some of these Serie A stadiums, and I wouldn't even let a high school team play there, never mind a professional squad. Its jsut fucking dreadful

Unfortunately, traditions always take a back seat to the bottom line.

Question.

How much ownership stake will juventus have in the new stadium??

Not to sure about the ownership stake.

I know we are supposed to be (one of) the only Italian club(s) that will have a stadium of their own, but I'm not aware of all the exact details.

If it isn't Juve that wins the Scudetto, I would choose Milan over Inter 10 times out of 10
Take cover before Alen gets here.

the moral of the story is that jesus loves La Liga more than Serie A. thats why kaka made the switch.

that's right, jesus hates the Serie A
Who cares what Jesus thinks?

God hates La Liga.

Juve will be the sole owners of the new stadium.

Isn't there some kind of agreement between Juve and the city of Turin however?
Something to do with the "land" where the stadium is built.

I think this was the case with Delle Alpi (agreement to rent for 100 years or something like that), and I have never seen any info about this concerning the new stadium.

I wonder what the relevance of that contract is, now that Delle Alpi is being torn down. You can't rent something that's been demolished.

I believe Juve bought the site that the Delle Alpi was on from the council.
