we didn't even fill the olimpico :shifty:
Actually, the Olimpico was sold out quite regularly.
And over the course of the entire season (past 2 seasons if I'm not mistaken) our attendances averaged at 90 - 95 % of the full capacity (not counting the sector for the away fans obviously).
So the Olimpico definitely isn't big enough.

yeh but having a 3/4 filled 45k FOOTBALL stadium is still a lot better than a 1/3 filled 70+k athletic (multipurpose if u will) stadium which is essentially what the old delle apli was.

also owning our stadium would take away the need for having to pay rent to the local council for the use of the stadium which i think we had to with the Delle Alpi and are stilll doing at the olympico. i don't think it's much but every little saved helps.

But even with the new stadium we still won't attract many fans and ticket sales will still be low.
The analysis and theories you used to conlcude that will always be far fetched from my perception. But hey, I don't care about such Croniosical logic, I'd rather imagine other beautiful things when on acid.

Two posts above yours only. Two posts. This guy will never be pleased whatever the management does. And when I say never, I literally mean never.
Some people are just hard to please, and from what I've read Cronios certainly belongs to that category.

But being "against" building our new stadium has got nothing to do with being hard to please. That's just plain ignorance imo.

The new collective deal is not like the 1 in England, where every1 gets the same amount.

40% is shared equally, 30% based on history/recent success, and 30% based on the number of fans. It will still be less than the €90.4m we received from domestic TV rights this past season (as of March 31, 2009), but Juve will still be the top earner.

I'm not sure what it is for Juve, but I remember reading Milan only get 50-60% of their match day income since they do not own the San Siro. With our own stadium, we would be getting 100% of the match day income.

If our attendances stay the same in the new Delle Alpi (that wont happen), assuming we currently only get 50% of ticket sales, based on figures up until march 31, 2009, we would be making an additional €15.1m a year from the new stadium.

Obviously our average attendance will not stay at 22k, as it was this past season. I would expect at least an additional 11k fans on average, meaning an additional €15.1m a year, for a total of €45.3m.

That figure ignores the sellouts from Inter, Milan, Roma and Fiorentina as well as big CL games. It also ignores the 120 VIP boxes in the new stadium which I am sure are very expensive. Not to mention all the commercial facilities (restaurants, shops, museum, etc) that are a part of this stadium project which will also bring increased revenue (though I think this source of revenue is shared, since we loaned this commercial space to Nordiconad for €20.25m. I imagine they get the majority of money generated here, but we still get a chunk).

In other words, w/e money we lose on the new domestic TV deal will be made back from the new stadium.

Berlusconi: “We'll see what happens. I was the first to say that Pirlo has to stay, but then they made me look at the accounts.”

Geez, are they really in such financial problems?

I don't like to call it ignorance because I don't really know his reasons behind it. The things he posts are just made up out of illusions and sophisticated analysis based on conspiracy theories he got to believe from gsol and others. I would call it stubbornness.

I dont think Pirlo is finished or anything. I would bring him to Juve in a heart beat.

------------Diego----------
Marchisio--Pirlo--Sissoko

that would be sick
:disagree: he's on-off form is just not good enough for Juve. I'd much rather see someone like D'Agostino than Pirlo right now in the team. He's won it all (world cup, CL and serie A) he just seems not motivated anymore. Probably a move to another league would suit him more.

Roma takeover bid fails

Thursday 25 June, 2009

Vinicio Fioranelli, the football agent heading a Swiss consortium, has failed in his efforts to buy Roma.

Italpetroli, the company run by the Sensi family, which has a majority stake in Roma, is in financial difficulty and desperately needs to sell the club.

Fioranelli came up with a bid, which had its credentials checked by Italpetroli and its financial adviser Mediobanca.

Roma wanted to discover whether Fioranelli and his consortium actually had the money to buy the club and if so where it was coming from.

A statement released by Italpetroli this evening indicates Fioranelli and his consortium have not met the requirements necessary to buy Roma.

“With reference to diffuse reports carried by some organs of the media with respect to the interest represented by Mr Vinicio Fioranelli, on account of a Swiss company, to buy a majority stake in Roma, Italpetroli clarifies that, despite profuse efforts, the conditions to proceed in an eventual operation have not been realised.”

Several other parties have registered an interest in buying Roma this summer, the most notable being Francesco Angelini, a pharmaceutical magnate.

I'm not surprised that Roma's takeover failed. They've had so many supposed bids the last few years that it's hard to take these so called buyers seriously.

What I don't get is why would you bother working on a takeover if you know you don't have the money?

Arna has Inter medical Friday 26 June, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FC Twente striker Marko Arnautovic is in Milan today undergoing a medical with Italian champions Inter.

An investigation will be made into a stress fracture he suffered in his right foot toward the end of last season.

A deal for the 20-year-old Austria international has yet to be agreed.

FC Twente want to sell the player immediately, but Inter have other ideas.

The Nerazzurri would like to take him on loan until January and then buy him.

A lot will depend on today's medical, which will obviously clarify the player's state of health.
